    letting the darkness in
    the emptiness smothers my air
    wondering were I was going
    where have I been.

    stumbling in the dark
    i grasp for the switch
    alone and scared, i have no one
    that I can reach out for
    I am lost and out of my wits.

    inhale and enjoy the pain
    savour the dirt in my mouth
    and swallow the oncoming filth
    bask with the knowledge
    that I am going insane.

    not only are we meant to relish
    those days of radiance and light
    we must know how to also savour
    those days of shame and blight.
