    Default DO NOT PURCHASE Airtel DTH

    Dear Sir,
    I am very sorry, that unfortunately I purchased Airtel DTH online through Vriti.com for which now I am suffering from mental tension.

    My details:-
    Name: Deepak Kumar Patel
    Customer ID: 3008879235
    Transaction reference No. 3993836
    PIN: 496197
    SSet up box ID: 03085493981


    Online transaction done on Dt. 25-09-11
    Installation not done till Dt. 05-10-11
    After frequently follow up on Dt. 06-10-11, finally the set up box installed at my home by engineer at 17:00hrs by Punjab Electronics, Raigarh.

    But, this is just like giving a ‘Beautiful Lock without Key’

    I mean to say “Activation kit”

    For this, again started talking with customer care, but my call transferred from person to person & finally asking to give 24hrs or 48 hrs. Just like All is Well.

    I have already talked with following numbers:

    I am so sorry to say that an organization like airtel is not fit for its business in India.

    So my friends do not repeat the mistake for which now I am suffering.

    Default Airtel DTH is a big SCAM - Money launderer

    Hello,
    I wanted to have a new DTH HD connection so i registered my name and mobile number on the Airtel DTH site on 6th April 2012. I got a call within 5 minutes from the Airtel Sales Call Center. I was very much impressed with the prompt response. The agent( Name: Manish) was said if i make the payment over the IVR the connection would be installed withing 24 hours and asked me to make the payment instantly. Hesitantly i made the payment via their IVR system using my ICICI Bank credit card.
    The money was instantly deducted and i was promised that my installation would be made today itself - 7th April.
    After waiting till 7 PM i called up the call center at the following number :020 44448080
    I provided the following information at the call center :

    Name: Siddharth Verma
    Address : C802, Sylvania Magarpatta City Pune.
    Transaction ref no from ICICI Bank: 74332742098209783894356
    Booking Ref No Provided by the agent :19358924
    The payment was made at precisely April 06, 2012; 21:19:08 hrs.)

    To my amazement the agent replied that he cannot find any of my details in the system. He also informed my that there is no customer created for me and i dont have a customer number. And since i dont have any customer number yet no processing can be done for me.
    This is an utter scam from my perspective. The money was readily deducted. IF the money was so easily deducted then under whose name was the transaction made and how do the airtel folks are tracking it. The money is gone and they have no details whatsoever for it. It is just sheer nonsense that they took the money but never bothered to create a customer or made any entry in the system to track it.

    Now it seems to me that the money is gone and there is no way to track it. This is an utter scam. Asking people to pay upfront and then not having any tracking for it is simply no professional behavior and no way for a company like Airtel to do business or handle its customers.

    Thumbs down Airtel DTH Multi-room connection not installed

    Full payment made for multi-room connection at Bangalore on 7/4/2012 via netbanking against account number 3007684520.

    After continous follow-up, STB installed on 20/4/2012; But activation not yet done, inspite of telephonic and emaill communication.

    Bangalore team says funds have not been transferred from Airtel Delhi Account to Bangalore account. Delhi guys are not giving the correct picture. Every mail reminder sent by me is handled by different executives. Till date I have sent atleast 20 emails and calls to the only available number, 12150. It seems there is no accountability of these executives; there is no senior manager overseeing it, and no ticketing system to ensure closure to the logical end. It is very clear there is utter chaos in the team handling this online system, which I understand is based in Delhi. I have been repeatedly asking them for a refund, so that I can approach some other responsive service provider.

    In short, it was a very wrong decision made by choosing Airtel DTH.
