    Default Problem with Airtel DTH service in bangalore

    I am customer of Airtel DTH service, My customer id - 3005311265.

    Since last 6 days , I am having issue with my display card inserted in set top box. I complained this problem to Airtel Customer care on 23 sep 2011
    complaint number -12196732.

    Your 2 executive visited my place but problem is not resolved. yesterday your executive has replaced the complete set top box with new card. But told me for activation of new box will take another 24 hrs. You customer care mark issue resolved even before asking to customer or engineer.Please let me know whom to contact for resolution of problem , Because Airtel customer care is group of Dumb people and can not resolve any issue.

    I am not able to watch TV from last 6 days due to inefficiency of Airtel DTH service. And now I am geeting message to recharge my DTH immidiately else my service will be stopped.

    Who is responsible for last 6 day payment, I am not able to watch TV due to airtel inefficiency and you are charging for your ineficiency. I request you to please activiate my connection as soon as possible and extend previous 6 day amount.

    I am very unhappy and feeling cheated with service you are providing atleast in Bangalore. It feel very bad a lot of people are harassed by Airtel DTH service in Bangalore.

    Red face Non-refund of balance

    This is Srinivas one of Airtel DTH sufferer for past 5 months.

    My Customer ID: 3000263253

    I will give the complete history of my problem here....


    In the last week of may there was heavy rain in the evening around at 8 OClock. Suddenly my Airtel DTH connection got disconnected. Then after an hour
    rain stopped and i have checked my Airtel DTH connection then it is displaying an error code on the screen. Then immediately call Airtel customer care to log a complaint abount my connection.

    I logged a complaint on 31-05-2011. After that i have received a SMS from Airtel DTH customer care.

    1) Dear Customer, request no. 8574800 for Video problem "Happy code-573. Share code with engineer once issue is resolved.

    Sender AD-DTH on 31-05-2011 at 8:23:06 PM.

    Then they had sent one service engineer to rectify the problem. He checked STB and charged Rs.100.00 as service charge said that you will get your connection in an hour.

    Receipt No. 7835
    Date: 04-06-2011

    Person who visited my place to rectify the problem his details.

    2)Dear Customer, request no. 8628244 for "Wrong resolution(Domino)", Happy code-176. Share code with the engineer Once issue is resolved.

    Still the problem persists iam not getting the connection ( channels)

    Again i spoke to customer care about the issue. I had received another SMS from AD-DTH

    3) Dear Customer you service request reference no is 8628244 for "Wrong resolution has been resolved. if the issue is unresolved please call 8105731888.


    Sender AD-DTH On 04-06-2011 at 01:02:04 PM



    Still the problem not rectified. Again i had a call with customer care about the problem, they suggested me to do SMS for rectify the problem, i immediately send a SMS

    Then again i had received another SMS from AD-DTH.

    4) Your request for Heavy reference has been accepted. It will be done in 10 minutes, please keep the STB on

    Sender AD-DTH on 05-06-2011 at 07-71:26 AM

    I waited more than an hour as per his advice. Still problem persits not getting channels.

    Then again called customer care after speaking i had received another SMS from Airte DTH

    5)Dear Customer, request no8726881 for VC issues "Happy code-743 . share code with the engineer once issue is resolve.

    Sender AD-DTH on 05-06-2001 at 9:25:45 AM

    Still my problem is not resolved then i waited for two more days i fed then i called ctomer care , requested for disconnection Airtel DTH .

    after that i had received SMS from Airtel DTH

    6) Dear customer, Thank you for contactingus . your service request reference no is 8820118 for disconnection.

    Sender AD-DTH on 07-06-2011 at 10:10:56 AM.

    They said that my balance amount will be refunded by that day my account balance was arount Rs.1270.00/-

    so far i have not received my money from Airte DTH.

    This what happed with Airtel DTH .

    Finally the moral i had learned from Airtel is

    "People should not have any sort of network provided by them such as mobile service, Internet and Digital TV".

    I had felt very bad about service provided by AD-DTH.

    Also i started tell my friends and known people who are willing to take digital TV i told them go for Tata SKY or Sun network.

    Also i my humble request to the people who are interested take the Digital TV connection go for any other Digital TV Services such as Sun network, Tata SKy or Videocon.


    The Airtel digital TV people are finally not providing good customer service after sales. This is one of bad culture we had in INDIA from all of the vendors.

    HI!!

    Ever since I have taken the Airtel Digitel TV connection, nothing has gone right!!!

    There is nothing called "Customer Service" when you call their call center. It would have been several times that I had called in to the Toll Free number and was hunged upon. There was no courtesy shown even to call back by these support individuals.

    After lot of pains in the initial, finally the service was set up and working alright untill last week when a problem has creeped up whereby the settop box just restarts itself every 10-15 minutes causing lot of nuisance.

    When I called the Toll Free number (I had hoped that atleast this time, nobody would hung up on me, but it again happened!!), I was straightaway told that an engineer visit would be arranged and I have to pay Rs.100 for the visit!!!

    I had asked the reason why I should be paying the engineer for settop box that Airtel owns, I did not get any satisfactory answer.The only answer that I got was that my service is more than 6 months old hence out of warranty.

    I have no problem in paying for engineer visit but I do not have confidence that my problem will be resolved by engineer visit.

    I was fed up to an extent that I asked for termination of the connection.

    Following that I received a call from one Miss Parul from Gurgaon who again promised lot of things but nothing happened.

    Instead my requests (I am not sure how many were logged) but all were closed without even taking my confirmation.

    Through this forum, I am asking that my request for disconnection be reopened and actioned as soon as possible.

    I am really fed up!!!!

    I facing issues with my airtel DTH, customer id: 3006640258. After coming from Diwali holiday's on 01.11.11 I found out that my DTH was not working. I was getting the following message on my screen,


    "We have directed all our channels to a new satellite. Please contact airtel to realign the dish to new satellite. Its a one time free service. error code SM1"


    I called airtel customer care & they registered my complaint with request no: 13204439. On 02.11.11 your engineer called me at around 12:30 & I requested him to come post lunch to resolve the issue. He never turned up & I got the message from Airtel that my problem has been resolved.


    I again called the customer care & registered a fresh complain on 03.11.11, request no: 13231545. The engineer came on 04.11.11. He tried to realign the Dish but couldn't resolve the issue. He informed me that the dish location needs to get changed. It will be done by migration team without any charge. I called customer care & they informed me that they have noted the request & migration team will come to my place on Monday i.e. 07.11.11.


    The migration team didn't came till wednesday hence I called the customer care & they lodged in a fresh complaint with request no: 13520165 dated 09.11.11. Today I received call from same person who called me on 02.11.11, Mr. Viral - Mob no: 9328691782. I explain him the entire situation & he told me the same story that it is job of Migration Team & he will pass on the complaint to them. Just now I am receiving a message from Airtel saying my compalint has been resolved.


    Upon calling the customer care they have now again lodgen in a fresh request with no: 13540923.


    Please understand that Airtel decided to change the location of satellite not me. If any issue comes because of it, its Airtel's duty to resolve it on an urgent basis. I am already paying you almost 11 Rs per day without watching the TV since last 10 days & i dont know since how long the situation going to be same.

    I am totally frustrated with such kind of response & service from company like Bharti. It seems that I made a wrong decision of buying DTH from Airtel.
