    Default AIRTEL DTH: Pathetic Customer Care

    Dear Sir/Mam',



    I am a customer of "Airtel Digital TV" almost 4 years now, Customer ID: 3000470437.
    I'm not able to receive maximum channels which I have subscribed to. Kindly spend some time on the points written below to understand my problem and the harassment created by your company in the last 20 days.

    1) I received a SMS on my registered airtel mobile no: 9755032005 on 6th Sept. 2011 regarding the change in the satellite position and the relocation of the disc accordingly in few days free of cost.

    2) 13th Sept.2011 : All of a sudden, maximum channels which I was subscribed to stopped downloading/ receiving on the TV set.


    3) 14th Sept. 2011: I logged a complaint on customer care No. 12150 thru my registered mobile No. 9755032005. The executive asked me to check the connections, the disc & I followed all the instructions without fail. But it didn't worked. They finally proceed the case to the local service centre.

    4) 15th Sept. 2011: A representative ( technical person) visited the residence for the same problem and finally observed that this is due to the relocation of the satellite. Asked for Rs. 200/- as service charges to take care of the problem.
    As this was the problem which I was not responsible for & the SMS dated 6th Sept. 2011 stated the same, I refused to pay.


    5) 15th Sept. 2011: I logged the complaint again the same and the cut-off time for resolving the problem given to me was 20th Sept. 2011 by 11:30 AM.


    6) 20th Sept. 2011: I called in the evening to the customer care and they promised me to get it done by evening in any case.


    7) 21st Sept. 2011: I again called on customer care to resolve the problem and a lady executive gave me the complaint No. 11944847 and asked me to call the local service centre to get it done.
    8) 21st Sept. 2011: I called local service centre at Gwalior on 0751-4027552 and conveyed the message received from Airtel Customer Care regarding the problem and also passed the complaint No. received from AIRTEL. The local representatives just refused to get it done and again demanded Rs. 200/- for the same.


    9) 22nd Sept. 2011: I called the customer care again for the problem and the harassment tolling on, and again they asked me to wait for some time to go thru the status.


    10) 22nd Sept. 2011: In the evening I again called the customer care to get the status and they asked me to log the complaint again which will eventually take 5 more days to get it done. Of course I refused the same.


    11) 23rd Sept. 2011: I called customer care again to get it done ASAP and the executive again promised me to get it done on the same day, but the situation is still the same.


    12) 24th Sept. 2011: I logged a complaint on the GRIEVANCE CELL on the website of AIRTEL but no any action taken so far.


    So this is a long story and inspite of all good intentions and patience, the AIRTEL is not able to resolve the problem so far. Its 16 days now and still I am going through the problem.


    This is not expected from a leading company in Telecom/DTH/Retail.
    Kindly look into the matter and help me to resolve the problem. The executives who spoke to me over the call centre were: Mr. Sandeep, Mr. Vinay, Ms. Divya. Mr Sandeep was very rude in his communication.
