    Default Set top box gone bad

    I have been calling Airtel's irresponsible customer care center for many days now. I have problem with my set top box, it seems. The set top box reboots itself, I get a Wait while initializing message and then it settles on channel 100. It is happening for more than 10 days now.

    I called up the customer care center (12150) many times, they asked me to do a soft reset (OK+Down+Right+Back). I tried the same but it did not help.

    I then raised a complaint 11586421 on 4 Sep. Your engineer visited on 5 Sep, did something, charged me 100/- rupees and went away. You marked the problem as resolved straight away, without even taking my feedback. The problem was never resolved!!

    I kept calling the engineer and requested to re-visit and correct my problem but he never came and then stopped picking up my phone as well. Is it the service I expect from a brand like Airtel? That too after charging?

    I then raised another complaint 11657270 on 6 Sep. Your customer care executive did not even talk with good manners. Your engineer came today i.e. 7 Sep, did something and went away. You again marked the problem as resolved but it is not yet resolved.

    I called up customer care center again, they kept me on hold for more than 10 minutes twice but nobody answered my queries at the end.

    I raised another complaint 11760545 but again no results. I am fedup.

    The condition has even deterioreted and now set top box is rebooting in every 5 minutes sometimes.

    I have already paid 350/- for remote control a few months back, 100/- for set top box problem without resolution and now don't want to pay anymore for anything. I expect a better quality service from Airtel and hence request you to resolve my problem tomorrow itself consedering that I have been a loyal customer having Mobile connection, digital TV, landline and Internet from Airtel only.

    Default Airtel Setup box is not working for a longer time

    Customer Id 3006534927

    My setup box stopped working on 28th Oct'2011 , From that point onwards I have registered 15 complaints and 42 calls to Airtel Customer service.some of them I have received complaint number , some of them , not.
    Also I have mailed to the above id yesterday , someone spoke to me and confirmed that technician will come and fix the issue by yesterday but noone came.

    Every time when I raise complaint I get a ticket number , then after few hours , the ticket will be closed saying that the issue is resolved without solving the issue. One more interesting thing is there is phrase in the resolution message , saying that if the issue not resolved please contact 9500063094, but i never succeded in geting this number , no one picked.

    I have got 4 times calls from the service engineer saying that he is visiting our home soon , but he never turned back.

    Is there any one give a responsible answer / solution to this probelm from Airtel , Is it possible to escalate to the top management. I am frustrated on spending 2 hrs on chasing Airtel , my mental health is very much affected
