    Default Non-refund of money after 5 months of non-installation of new AIRTEL DTH connection

    Dear Sir,

    Airtel DTH Customer ID: 3007923329

    Airtel DTH Complaint No.9839524

    This is to bring to your notice how Airtel DTH is playing with customer's hard-earned money.

    I had applied for a new Airtel DTH connection through Airtel website. On 11th May 2011 I paid in cash of Rs.1590/ to Vriti Infocom , an agent who had been sent by Airtel to collect my money.
    For almost 1 week after the payment I kept getting calls from Airtel engineers who kept on asking my address and then refusing to come for installation since that was "not within their area of operation". I made several calls to the Airtel Customer care(Ref No.7928437 dt. 14/05/201) and was promised installation within 24 hours every time but nothing happened.

    So I installed Tata Sky and applied for disconnection (Request No. 8015321). There were a few confirmation calls and an sms was sent to m that the case has been resolved and I would get my refund within 10 days. I waited for almost 2 months but no refund came.So on July 7th, 2011 I wrote a complaint mail to Airtel DTH(Complaint No.9839524). I again got calls from Airtel but issue was not resolved.
    On August 19, 2011 I wrote to Nodal Officer of Airtel DTH with the whole story. This time I got a call from Vriti Infocom, the agent and a person named Bhumitra Shandilya told me that I will get my money within 3-4 days. But till date I have not got any refund. he does not pick up his cell phone(number 9811103078, email id bhumitra.s@vriti-interactive.com) and when I mail him he only postpones the date by 1 more day. The 10 day deadline for the Nodal officer has also expired on August 29th.

    I am frustrated and disillusioned about the customer-friendliness of Airtel.I feel helpless and do not know whom to approach.Airtel has lost a loyal customer like me and I make sure that they will lose more.
    I hope that any responsible person in Airtel responds to this and resolves this issue.
