    Angry Applied for HD on Airtel, got normal box

    I applied for an Airtel HD connection online on 26th July 2011. Next day, I got a confirmation call, and was told that the installation would be done within 48 hours. Next day, the engineer came to my place, with an SD box. He called his manager, who told me that I had applied for an SD box. When I called customer care, they said that the network was down. So, they installed the SD box at my place. Next day, I called the customer care again. Iwas told a engineer would come , by 6:30 PM on 28th. No such luck. The engineer called to say he could not fix this problem, and I called customer care again. I was transferred to a senior executive after 10 minutes of waiting, who put me on hold for another 10 minutes, trying to contact my area manager. She finally told me I would get an HD box by 30th July 2011. Since yesterday, I am waiting for any communication from there side. Nothing
    In reference to above situation, this is the timeline
    26th July 2011-Booked HD connection online by paying Rs. 2790/-
    27th July 2011-Got customer ID 3008483781
    28th July 2011-Got SD box Installed,raised complaint
    29th July 2011-Contacted by engineer, who was unable to do anything. Called customer care again.
    30th July 2011-No response from Airtel.
    I think I will cancel this connection. These guys have no idea about what they are doing, and obviously don't care for the customer. My advice to anyone getting DTH is, DONT GO FOR AIRTEL.
