    I have been a TATA SKY subscriber (subscriber id: 1004109854) for over
    two years.

    I have to emphasise that i have been cheated by TATA SKY.

    My TATASKY went off signal about couple of weeks back (my apologies for
    not able to recollect date) I registered a complaint the very next day,
    no one responded. Registered a complaint again on 21st July (tata sky
    customer service lines are perpetually busy and people leave you on hold
    for long time)


    They inviestigated the problem and the engineer who visit my house, brought to my notice that my connection was being shared by someone else for the past two months without my notice and consent.

    I was the only TATASKY subscriber in my building until a couple of
    months back. Apparently a family living on the 4th floor (Ms. Kankonkar)
    of my society decided to go for TATASKY.

    They got a Set Top Box and during the installation, the cable was connected to
    my Dish with out my consent (Yes! You read it right) I believe some
    multiple connections could me made using the same dish. So I continued
    to pay for DIRECT TO my HOME whereas the signal was transmitted to more
    than one house.

    The Kankonkars, then had some problems with their connection and
    registered a complaint, the TATASKY official very smartly, unplugged my
    cable and connected them TO MY DISH. After my repeated complaints, the
    service engineer who visited me, brought this to my notice and rectified
    the issue and guess what???? CHARGED ME FOR IT(its not about the charge,
    its about the practice that gives me a shock).

    When i complained this to the CEO, Vikram Kaushik, i was promised an investigation in 48 hours, they investigated and found out that it was their own employee who did this fraudulent act and offered me a Rs.1000 worth subscription to retain me(basically a bribe so that i dont take the mater to court).


    I couldnt believe that something like this could happen? As
    far I understand this is not the DTH operations methodology, unless
    there is a common connection in one society or you have a written
    consent from my side (both not the case here).

    Iam very seriously agitated by this whole act (if I could call it a
    fraudulent practice) and am sure even you are completely unaware of such
    practices. It is a very ridiculous practice that these guys follow and am very serious about draggin them to the court/ I was without a television connection at my place because they had connected some one else on to my dish and me, like a fool for 8 days kept checking my connection.

    I want this to be taken seriously and want to expose tatasky in public so that this doesnt happen any more.

    Hello,

    Send a written notice via registered post to your area nodal officer about your problem, mention all the complaints no. in it and ask them for the proper solution so that you will not face such type of problem again.

    Note: Do not forget to keep the slip of registered post in safe, it will help you if the parent company will not solve the issue with in the mention time of 15 to 20 days.

    Default Tatasky unsatisfactory after sales Service

    My tatasky id is 1004861009. I launched complaint on 15 oct for no signal. My Tatasky Id is we have MDU in our society Kapil Abhijat in Pune. Engineer came at 6.00 Pm .After his departure immediately same problem repeated within 10 minutes. so unsatisfied with service.insist for AMC shows that Tatasky is not confident about their product.there are "hidden values" in subscriber contract terms & conditions. It is dishonor of customer.

    .Fault was connector between MDU to STB Still Rs 350/- were deducted from my account. It was cleared that if fault is in equipment the it would be charged. MDU connection to STB should be part of Tatasky preventive maintenance. It should be inspected as a part of Tatasky service. I m unsatisfied with Tatasky after sales service. we are also evaluating Tatasky services in our discussion group

    my set top box is not working and i have complained at least 10 times without getting any response nor has any engineer turned up today i have decided to throw my tata sky box but not without taking legal action in the consumer court.i have also posted a letter to their CEO Ashwani Kaushik today.

    Dear Sir /Madam,

    We are Tata skyDigicomp customer. Our customer ID is1040725135.
    We subscribed your service from 1 Jan 2010.We got subscription from Paramount Consultant Services, 7 & 8 , Magan Mahal , Sir M V Road, Nr. Andheri Court , Andheri East, Mumbai - 400069.
    But we got subscription from Manoj Suryavanshi ,Dombivli ( E), Phadke Road.Mobile No 9892354465.

    Since last month digicomp is not receiving signal properly. We already informed to Mr . suryavanshi. He is not coming to see besides he provide the subscription.He might already shut down his services for the same.

    We also contacted with Mr Sanjay,( ISD Kalyan - Dombivli ) Mobile No 9323682598. But he is not taking the responsibility of above stated matter.
    We also trying your customer care No - 020 6600 6633. But nobody receiving calls or helping lines are engaged. They don't have that much courtesy to revert back to customer.
    We are not available on weekdays . Available only sunday.

    If we are not getting service within 12 hrs . we will register complain in Consumer Forum . We already marking Cc of same mail to Consumer forum.

    Default Beware of TATA Sky - Before you buy

    I would like to share my experience with TATA Sky and the way this company works in case of after sales service. Though the picture quality may be at par with the other operators but the reliability of their services and the equipments supplied by them are definitely horrible.
    Before you buy you should understand the followings –
    - Services are very good for installation of new connection. The engineer turns up right on time but it becomes horrible in case of after sales.
    - Despite of best handling your set top box can go faulty in a short scan of usage and it can be as short as 4-5 months.
    - Further if you think that you have bought this set top box and this will remain with you forever, you are wrong. In case if it goes bad, they will replace it with the repaired one which may be an oldest model and badly handled.
    - More over the replaced set top box will have all the setting done by its previous owner. During repair they even do not bother to clear the settings.
    - Since the replaced box is an older one, the life of this box will be lesser than your new one. Hence it will give Tata Sky an opportunity to charge the customer as many times the box becomes faulty.
    - When you call up the call centre there is always a long wait. Once you are connected and complaint is registered, you are assured that engineer will contact you by a specified time but this may not happen.
    - The response time is maximum 48 hours for the engineer to visit but they never turn up. You are assigned a work order no but the engineer contact no given may not be correct since the database is not updated. You end up calling that no but either someone else picks up the phone or it comes switched off or out of service. I was never given active and correct tele no.
    - You may end up calling the call centre and they will be repeating the same thing that the engineer will visit on the same date and time mentioned in the SMS. Surprisingly they are not aware about the contents of SMS sent to the customer since it is been sent from back office and there is no synchronisation between them.
    - They do not believe in replying the queries sent to the using their web site through your login user name.
    - Moreover it’s a lip service rather a customer service to their satisfaction.
    - At the end once the job is closed, you will receive an SMS asking for your comment regarding services having options as Y or N. If you send SMS as N, the reply would be ‘Error, Incorrect Message:-N’ which we should always reply as ‘Y’ since their system is not equipped to accept ‘N’.
    At the end I would rather advice not to opt for TATA sky for these types of pathetic services where I wasted my 2 holidays just to get my problem rectified.

    Default Tata Sky Cheats Customers by wrong advertising

    If you go to the TataSky+ site (tataskyplus.com/why-get-tata-sky.html) the "#" mentions "Remote recording feature via mobile will be available only on GPRS enabled Java handsets.".
    But what is not mentioned is that even though if your phone is GPRS enabled Java Handset, not all models are supported. I didnt find any mentioning of this on their site.
    According to the site(tataskyplus.com/tata-sky-faqs-features.html)
    What is the series link feature?
    If you want to record all episodes of a programme back-to-back, you don’t need to set individual recordings for each episode. Just set a ‘series link’ for the programme after you set the programme for recording. This will ensure that all episodes of the programme get automatically recorded. You can now play back all the episodes at a time to convenient to you.

    I didnt find in the site any more details for the same. From the talks i had with them, series link does not work with all serials on all channels. There are only a hand full of channels that are available for this feature. Also if there are repeats of the serial, you cant choose that timing for series link. You can use this feature only a serial (from their list) that is aired at a particular time. I didnt find any where on their site that has the list or the timings.

    What can be done about such things?

    RESPECTED SIR
    I have been using tata sky for past 4 years now
    AND HAVE EVER FACED SUCH A PROBLEM
    THE CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE LIE US THAT WE HAVE ACTIVATED A SECONDARY CONNECTION WHICH IS CLOSED FOR PAST 2 YRS
    IT IS NOT WORKING FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS
    AND NOW SUDDENLY WITHOUT ITEMIZATION THEY HAVE STARTED DEDUCTING RS 150 PER MONTH AND CLAIM THAT IT WAS STARTED IN APRIL
    THE TRUTH IS THAT THE SECONDARY CONNECTION SET TOP BOX IS JUST A BOX AND IS NOT WORKING
    I HAVE CHECKED IT A COUPLE OF TIMES BUT IT DOES NOT WORK
    SIR IT IS OUR HARD EARN MONEY SIR I CANNOT LET IT GO
    PLEASE HELP

    Default complaint regarding problem in recharging

    i am a subsriber of your tata sky service and have my id no.1000216808. since about six months i find difficult to charge my account and later find disturbance in my service. i try to charge through my mobile phone repeatedly but it fails though i am charged for the message sent. i then try to contact your office through your toll free service but i find they keep me on hold till one gets irritated by continously hearing the music without response from your service local service provider. on the previous month i could not get my channels as i faced the said problem. then luckly i could get one of your service persons on line and she stated that they had some disturbance in the network and it would be find hence forth. but this month again i have been trying to recharge my account since 12th of this month till today i.e 14th of november 2010 still unable to do so.

    I am a tiny businessman, appointed by TataSky Ltd as Authorised Channel Partner.
    My experience with them it is really disgusting and not expected from a company under Tata Bannership.
    Ex. 1: a compliant regsitered by my client was not addressed even after 5 months. Inspite of Full year payment iwas made in advance.
    Ex. 2: regular telephonic follow-up; in return I got false assurances.
    Ex. 3.: i managed to sed my complaint to Sr.VP and got his respone: "my team is very good. I know them very well and they never do anything wrong".
    Ex. 4: I submitted documented evidences (which includes a fake invoice (typo error!! : in TSL language) generated by a TSL employee); this Sr.VP simply washed hand saying that this employee has already left our company.

    I wish to submit all evidences and series of communication to Mr. Ratan Tata. Please share his mail ID.

    MY SUBSCRIPTION ID: - 1040470880

    This is complaint regarding installation/ up gradation the set top box with HD, I had given a request and also made the payment through IVR for installing the same on 3rd of May 11 and got confirmation that we have a stock of the same and will get it installed next day, but after making so many follow ups with the team I came to know that they are out of stock and very embarrassing for me was that call which I received after 6th day of my booking when I was fighting for the installation that sir right now we are out of stock with HD box once will receive it definitely will get it installed at your place;

    This is was very sweet response I had received from TATA SKY after 6th day of the booking though they confirmed me at the time of booking that they have enough stock of HD and even they insist me to book with recording HD

    Last but not the least I had came this thing noticed in the superiors also MS. Arti & Mr Kuldeep and On 8th May 2011 Mr Kuldeep also confirmed me that by next morning u will receive the call and will get installed the same at your home

    If seniors have been given these kinds of fake commitments to the customers so what we can expect from their team member.

    I would like to lodge a complaint against all of the culprits like Prameet who booked my box and had putted a lot of pressure on me for booking this through instant payment though I didn’t had OTP password he called me 10 times in a day and asked for the payment but I wasn’t aware that after making the payment I will made fool from you guys.

    Second Mr Kuldeep I wasn’t expecting that kind of fake response from one of the senior person who is working with one of the big brand like TATA.

    I hope these kinds of poor services would not help you guys for serving the customer better.

    So now request you to kindly cancel my booking of the new HD box and refund my money back and also want to cancel my existing connection because I had installed 3 HD connection of Dish TV at my place

    Thanks for giving your best services I would be very grateful for you guys…..

    Tata Sky, Reference to my mail below, no action has been taken against my complain for the past seven days.

    This is to bring to your notice that we had aksed for Tatasky Cable to be installed eight days back on 19th May 2011.After paying the installment through Citibank credit card we were told that within next two days the engineer fro your company will install the setbox. Three days back late evening two incapable engineers got the setbox but did not install it saying it was late in the evening and wothout fail they will come next morning and install the same. Till date we are waiting for the same. Everyday for the past one week we register fresh complain with Tatasky but no progress. The repeated answer of ''Very sorry for the inconvenence caused ''is getting on our nerves now.My freshly lodged complain number is : 1- 10293838597.
    It is highly disappointing that Tatasky company services are so unprofessional. We regret our decision of going for Tatasky connection. I would take this matter to the consumer court if no action is taken from your side.

    I purchased a Toshiba LCD TV. along with TV I got a tata sky voucher for tata sky installation and 3 month subscription. In voucher it was mentioned that after installation I have to handover that voucher and have to pay 750 rupees to TAT SKY engineer towards the installation and recharge.

    I hand over that voucher and Rs 750 to that engineer on 17th June 2011 after installation .
    I got a message from tata sky to recharge your account to stop deactivation. I called customer care on 18/06/2011.they told me the amount of RS 624 will get credited to your account within 24 hrs.
    I checked again on 19th the status was same. again I called them. they asked me another 24 hrs.
    On 20th I checked my account. The balance wasn’t credited to my account. again I called them, they registered a compliant (1-10547909646)and gave me assurance that our re- preventative will contact me and my account will get reactive soon.
    The problem was not solved by 21st June 2011. I again called them they asked me to wait for 2 hrs. they are looking in case. after 2 hrs again I called them, they asked me another 2 hrs. again i called them after 2 hrs. this time they asked me to call after 24hrs and registered another complaint (1-10555840143).
    on 22nd afternoon I called them and asked them to at least let me talk to your superior, but they didn't allowed me.
    supervisor told me that senior person will call u with in 1 hr.
    but I have not received any call from them after 2 hrs.

    still my account is not get credited by the amount i have paid to TAKA SKY engineer.
