*SUB: NOTICE BEFORE FILING CONSUMER COURT COMPLAINT*
Dear Sir,
1) I purchased BIGTV DTH from Bangalore – Vijayanagar Reliance Outlet
on Date: 5-Sept-2008 Invoice No. 0801636732 for Rs: 2190/- Package
(Inaugural South Offer). Installation was done in a week's time.
2) The Installation executive said your Rs. 2190/- Package is
installed and you will get all the channels as mentioned on the
website/advertisement at that time with Kannada Regional Package as 1 free
for year which was running at that time.
3) After two to three weeks I did enable Sports-2 plus pack (Neo
Cricket and Neo Sports) as additional top-up, other sports channels (ESPN
and Start Sports) were available for me as free per Rs, 2190/- package.
4) Complaint #: 85460016: Recently In Jan'09 1st week, I contacted to
your Customer Care to get some more top up and at that I came to know that I
am in negative balance, My Package is Rs 1990/- Pack instead of Rs 2190
Pack, I am charged for Sports-1 plus pack as well should have charged only
for Sports-2 Plus Pack. After 48 hours turn around time for complaint, I
enquired and this complaint was closed as insufficient funds.
5) Complaint #: 85654694: On 11-Jan-09, My Kannada Channels (ETV
Kannada and Zee Kannada) disabled which are free as per the offer Rs 2190/-,
when I spoke to your customer care executive he said it is enabled only for
3 months but it should be available for me as 1 Year free. This complaint
was also closed as insufficient funds.
6) Complaint #: 85654694: On 14-Jan-09, I logged new complaint and
customer executive promised me of solution at this time but till date there
is no solution at, as I am not able to see the Kannada Channels and still I
am charged for Sports-1 plus pack and my Package is not changed to Rs,
2190/- from Rs, 1990/- and Kannada Regional pack is not activated for me for
1 Year.
By looking at the above complaints with unresolved problems, efforts spent
from my side and for grievance/complaint logged there is not a satisfactory
response. I am serving this Notice and I will give BIGTV 15 to 30 days to
settle my grievance to solve discrepancies else I will file a complaint with
the Consumer Court as consumers protected under the Consumer Protection Act
of 1986.
I would also like to inform BIGTV that the consumer complaint will be at
BIGTV cost and expenses, and I will seek compensation for the mental agony
caused due to his deficiency in services.
