Airtel DTH - connection never got activated & not refunding installation amount

    Default Airtel DTH - connection never got activated & not refunding installation amount

    This is with reference to Airtel DTH customer ID 3007199096. I bought this connection in the last week of February-2011. As per the installation process, I recharged my account with 1000 Rs after this an engineer came to my house for DTH installation. As per him, proper signals were not present in my balcony & he suggested that Antenna will be installed at Top floor which is 14th floor in my apartment & charge of cable from Antenna (on 14th floor) to DTH will be paid by me. Since it was a good amount so I asked him to not install DTH at my home. On that very day I gave a call to Airtel customer support & executive told me that 1000 rs will be refund to me in few days.

    After waiting for few days,I again made a call to customer care, executive told me that some one from back end team will call for the further process & you will get your money soon. For Feb-2011 till date, I made almost 20 calls to customer care, every time they are giving me the same promise but no positive results till now. I requested many times to give me the call reference number, but they simply refused. I visited near by DTH center, as per them only customer care can help me.

    I am really very much frustrated with the kind of treatment Airtel DTH customer care is giving to me. I still can not understand why I am not getting my money back, I never used any service of that money.

    I am using Airtel post paid number from 4 years now and believe me this incident is making a very bad image of this brand in my mind.
