Default From Next victim of Airtel DTH Service

    Customer ID#3007788283

Recently I bought Airtel HD DVR from Pai International Bangalore to Replace my reliance BIG TV STB with HD one with recording capability. Hence never heard about Airtel HD DVR anywhere, I asked sales person to confirm whether it support at least 720p HD resolution, He confirmed that and also re-checked with Airtel person. He said it is very new product that’s why I didn’t hear about it. I trusted them and bought it.
Next day installation person came and installed the device. I was surprised to see TV was receiving only 576p(SD) instead of HD(720p) when I notified installation team they informed me that once I subscribe to HD channels I will receive 720p resolution.
I went ahead and subscribed to HD Plus pack, I started receiving HD channels, But it was downscaled (576p) feed of HD channels, I called customer care they registered service request #7432216. I got call from different people, none of them able to understand the issue I guess and finally a SMS saying my request closed, but without my consent and any resolution.
I have called customer care multiple times and spent time explaining the problem but they don’t care. Sometimes they simply disconnect call or tell some lies (your issue will be resolved next day or within 24 hrs. )
Today I called customer care again, again I explained whole story, she says your STB is not HD it is normal DVR then I asked her why your people lie to me at the time of purchase. I asked her for either for replacement with HD normal STB or Money back. Both they disagreed.
Now I spent about 3500 for a normal DVR, Tatasky and Reliance providing HD DVR just for 4000. Airtel is cheating peoples telling lies.
Apart from these DVR never works properly, Daily I have to power cycle at least 10 times because of hanging, It never records gives some error always and don’t respond to remote most of the time.

Got another call today, defining me as a "Existing Customer" so I can go for an upgrade to real new "HD DVR" which released recently, explained them I am not an "Existing Customer" and I do not want to go for an upgrade, instead I would like to have HD STB with or without DVR as mentioned before placing order. He said he will come back with available options within 24 hours

For who work towards resolution with Airtel_Presence my sincere advise,
you may get calls/comments from various persons at Airtel_Presence assuring resolution to your satisfaction with in various timelines,
if you are relaying on that you are wasting your time.
    My experience
My issue resolution(explained above) was assured within 24 hours at first call by Mr. Arun(Guess he is from Airtel Corporate office I guess) from Airtel_Presence. I did not receive any followup call from him later, So I tried him on the number which he called me. Got him online, he told me my case is special case and will be providing decent resolution and he extended resolution time another 3 days which ended today. Didn't receive any update as usual, I tried him to reach 3 times which end up with a person who always ensured me a call back from Arun which never happened. Finally I got him on call after lot of hide and seek. He explained his “resolution” which is “just go for upgrade as existing customer” (why should I waste my time talking to this non-sense persons to get such an idiotic resolution hhaa ?).
    Their resolution means
Amount I paid for DVR HD(as per their misleading information)2 weeks back : 3590
Real HD they relased only 2-3 days back, for that upgrade charge for Existing customer : 3990

Total cost for me : 7580
Very good offer for special case ahhhhhhh ? and Why should I go for Airtel after all these experience am I mad ?

as a person suggested in this thread I written to Airtel Nodal officer as well, he is also irresponsible I guess, he just sits with few people to call customer, these people call user and ask whether issue resolved or not(they don't even care or followup with customer, they just want to know whether issue closed or not). Till date I did not receive a single replay for my mail other than these non-sense calls

could anybody can help on contacting TRAI on email ? I have the evidences , which can prove Airtel DTH is cheating customers

Now I am thinking I should be careful before going for Airtel DTH so I could escape from the traps these people set

just search "airtel dth issues" in google you will be amazed to see how Airtel DTH is
