On 25th March 2011, two persons from an agency called SABISU AIRTEL entered our premises one of the persons was carrying Mobile No 098408-89920.

They told the security at the building premises that one of the tenants had asked them to install an airtel DTH Connection. They then proceeded directly to the terrace and were carrying out some survey there- ALL THIS WAS DONE WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ANY OF THE OFFICIALS OF THE BUILDING.

Thereafter one of the persons, unauthorisedly and without my permission orally or in writing stepped on MY FIBRE GLASS ROOF. The roof gave way with a very loud sound and he then tried to run away. Had he fallen through the roof a very serious and possibly fatal accident would have occurred in the building.

I along with other residents of the building nabbed him and after a lot of attempts we were able to speak to someone called JAI GANESH at AIRTEL DTH, who completely disowned the responsibility saying that we were not airtel DTH customers and he can only speak to AIRTEL DTH Customers and is not bothered about anything else. As we did not let go of the person from SABISU AIRTEL, their owner, who did not identify himself came on line (Mob- 9500063091) and promised to get the roof replaced. He then confirmed the same in writing in an e mail. However inspite of repeated follow up SABISU is not responding and they are saying they will NOT repair the roof as they do not have any manpower to do so!

WE cannot get in touch with AIRTEL DTH as we cannot find any Contact Nos or e mail address for communication in any of their advertisements or websites. Prima facie it is apparent that AIRTEL DTH and its agents namely SABISU are taking the law in their own hands and have no regard for the consequences of their action. WE believe that they must be using the same high handedness and totally disregard for the law.

WE spoke to one Mr Balamurugan at Sabisu after great effort, he tells us that there is nothing he can do as he is not from Chennai and further, he urges us to take legal action against the company as he says he will explain to the police that it was an “ACCIDENT” for which he is not responsible in any way- in other words, they will continue to send their ill equipped team with absolutely no concern for the safety of their crew or the innocent people they target!
