I am DISH TV customer since 21st September’2008. Several times, whenever I am making payment, they are deducting some of the amount and from the paid amount as late charges / several unknown (not informed / declared) reason and giving a reduced period of viewing with respect to the correct period (as it desired to be with respect the correct charges/month, as displayed in their WEB Site). They are cheating the hardly earned money of people.
Today morning, the matter has reached to its’ extremities. They have stopped the viewing, without communicating / reminding the due date of recharge. They have not send any means of communication, through SMS, E-mail or Phone Call, though my all details, such as E-mail address, Mobile number had been registered. They have send the message through their telecasting medium, without mentioning any date for next recharge due date. There is option named as ‘My Account’, where viewer can check the Next date recharge, with respect to the currently paid amount, that is also not been updated, due their faulty operational efficiency.
As the viewing has stopped, self has tried online recharge, but unable to pay due their WEB Problem. Then, I have called directly in their Customer Care number - 0120-2550000, and after having lot of holding, this – that excuse, the junior representative transferred the call to a responsible Women, named as Ms. Shewta. She expressed that she will temporarily activate the viewing, and as and when I am paying, my account will be updated, counting from due date of recharge i.e. 19th March’2011. I have paid Rs.675/- immediately. After that I have got the SMS, for the payment receipt. One and half hours later, I have received another SMS, stating that my next recharge date is 15th June’2011. Whereas, as per paid amount of Rs.675/- and with respect to my present package i.e. GOLD Package (Rs.225/- per month) my next recharge date should be 18th June’2011 i.e. Three Month. Again I have called to Customer Care, to clarify for such reduction, and after having lot of holding, this – that excuse, the junior representative transferred the call to a responsible Man, named as Mr. Lalit Kumar. He expressed and start talking in a harsh manner and informed an amount of Rs.20/- has been deducted from my paid amount as re-activation charges, and for that reason, they view period has been shortened for 3 days, as the period is calculated with respect to Rs.655/- (Rs.675 – 20) with respect to the monthly charge of Rs.225/-. I have expressed that is not correct, as I have not got any information and tried to convince him that this deductions are not justified. But, Mr. Lalit Kumar is not convinced and tried to give excuses, showing explanation with respect to the corporate policy etc. which is never been disclosed or communicated to the Customer. His statement is not at all matching with respect to assurance of his counter-part who has attended the call earlier. He has tried to mentally assault me over phone.
The times spend for such Phone Calls, the amount of expenses for such call, the health hazard due such long duration calls, mental agony and overall the harassment to me and my family is not acceptable and justified. It is not in first occasion, as it is been realized due the checking. Simply, they are cheating and harassing trusty Customer like us, in return of money paid to them.
Please intervene in this matter and do the needful.
