According to Dish TV customer care, I have the South Gold package subscription which entitles me to view 160+ channels. The funny thing is that i am hardly getting 50 channels. I have been requesting the customer care folks at Dish TV via the phone and e-mail to send me the list of channels that i am entitled to view so that i can cross check and complain on which ones i am not able to see. Surprisingly no one at Dish TV seem to know what is in the gold package. Even after 22 e-mails and 34 phone calls to customer service, there is no channel list.

The other part of this problem is that everytime I call, they say that they will refresh the list of channels, ask me to keep tuned to channel 999 for 15 min to 2 hrs and check the channels. Sure enough there will be change in the list of channels.....but in a negative way. more and more channels disappear when ever they do the refresh instead of receving all the channels that I am supposed to view.

Finally got fedup with Dish TV and ripped the Dish a part and dumped it in the trash bin near our home. Now fighting a battle with Dish to get refund of the balance amount.

So guys....DISH TV is the crappiest thing I have every purchased and a totally incapable team running the show there. my VCNO is 01509345794

Today ie - I called your customer care 18601803474 for information (which plan is going on and recharge amount for one month), I send 200.00 rupees to dishtv view No. 015009887719-2 on 6th Nov. 2011.. but did not Running my Dishtv,,,,,My Dishtv location Tripura(Agartala),,,,Now my posting at bangalore,,,,,,,,Tripura's Dishtv fitting in bangalore..........

I recharge my dishtv VC No.01500282490 of Rs.370/- Platinum Package on Dt.04/11/11 , for a month but they stopped services on dt.17/11/11 without any prior information.

i took new dish tv but these ppl have poor response in beaning itself

the only answer they give is plz wait an hour sir ur problem will be rectified but it wont these nw one is saying that recharge and i took 6 months package but i have nt see image not at all once

but after some time its featureless showing contact to customer care.

Myself M.Rajesh from tamilnadu.My VC no is 01501410888.my registered mobile no is 09952829899.I have taken a recharge plan called South family pack (Rs 185 pm).In that i have included Tamil-1,tamil-2,malayalam-1,malayalam-2.Iam not getting the following chanells which has been included in my pack.
1.Kiran TV(malayalam)
2.Surya tv(malayalam)
3.india vision(malayalam)
4.Kalaignar Tv(Tamil) and Raj digital plus(Tamil) will be discontinued from dish tv from 25 nov.

if iam not getting the above channels then what is the need of paying Rs 185 pm.In cable tv we can watch all these channels for Rs 100pm.So please take necessary steps and bring all the channels that were included in my pack or reduce the pack amount.I will send this email to all complaint cell if i didnt receive any call soon.

2. I am using platinum HD pack and I want to change is to Platinum plus pack @ Rs. 350/- per month.

3. I talk to the customer care two months back regarding above matter. They replied “sir, if you will not recharge your dish TV for one month then, after deavtivation we can change your plan from HD to Normal.” I did this and after completion of one month on15 November 11. I again make a call to CC, they replied sir, option is available and I changed the plan and you need to recharge with more than Rs. 200.00. When I recharged the VC, I surprised that the HD Services is still on. My money got worthless.
When I called to custmer Care then they replied, Sir, your VC No. is active so we can not change your plan. It is really worst reply from them.

4. On this regard, I have grivencess. Please suggest what to do.

further to below mail regarding New connection complaint,which i had booked online and paid 990/- Your local dishtv vendor(vapi) had called us and asking for Rs400 as activation fees apart from Rs200/- installation fees whereas at the time of booking dishtv team never told about this activation fees that means according to your local vendor New connection amount = Rs990/-(Paid online-offer) + Rs200/-(Installation fees mentioned in your website) +Rs21 (service charge) + Rs 400 (activation fee which is not mentioned in your website) .Regarding this activation fees I have called your customer care and they have confirmed that there is no need to pay activation fees. So why your local dishTv vendor(Vapi city) is asking for activation fee. I think this is a fraud case I need connection immediately or refund my money because i have booked connection on 3rd december today is 6th december eventhough i have not got connection . Otherwise be ready for leagale action . Also there is no response from your side on below mail which i have sent on 5th dec . STOP cheating people .Kindly respond and resolve issue immediately

Dear sir my VC nu is 01504758225 i have been time and again complaining to customer service that i am not getting proper service on by dist tv subcribtion .I get a yellow envelope on the top of the screen stated that the subcription needs to be renewed .I have one years subcription which ends in april 2012 .I have asking for my case to be resolved for the last 6 mnths no no avail even the technical department is not able to help me now I am not able to veiw alternate channels all i get from customers is some flimsy excuse telling me to do this and that this has been going on and on I have been hung up on calls many time my tel nu has been put on DND without my permission no one seems to be able to help me now i get an excuse form a senior customer service exceutive when i asked for a supervisor saying that after an half hour call that either my set top box has an error or my vc card does not work this is another way to get your service man be sent to my house and i be charge service charge of Rs 250 new trick to rob the customer I ask you to resolve this for me or I would have to go to a different channel to address my consern if dish tv is not able to resolve my problem i will not hesitate to even call upon your brand ambassader and apraise him for the kind of company or brand he represents .

all those who are purchasing dish tv,do not purchase it. The so called nodal officers wont pick your call. complaints are never resolved. there are 4 types of pack there. First is family pack , costing monthly Rs. 175 and last is platinum plus, costing rs. 350 per month. once you took the last pack of Rs. 350/ inr., you can not downgrade the pack. they assure you to change the pack anytime you want. but they trap you. they never downgrade and make a thousand of excuses. You have to suffer a lot. The nodal officer even will not pick your phone. Note! Note down the number.
