    Default Airtel DTH - Yet to get an Airtel Digital TV Connection

    Hi,
    I Subscribed for the Airtel Digital TV connection on Monday(15/11/2010) through Customer care number (18001028080). I made my payment using Citibank Credit card for amount Rs.1590/-.

    The Customer care executive gave only the TransactionID (11844894).
    Registered Mobile Number : 9841626003
    I also gave an alternate number :8796448013.

    Till today I haven't got any call from service engineer.

    From 16th, i am calling the customer care,they are asking for the Customer Id,which i do not have and they are asking for the TransactionID,they say that the enginner will call in another 24 hrs and close the call..

    Can anyone look into this issue and resolve the same.

    Default Airtel Digital TV connection not installed.

    Dear Airtel Digital TV,

    I completely disappointed with the way you have been treating your customers. I have an airtel connection in my office and thus decided to get an airtel digital TV at home as well. I left my no. on your website and got a call from your sales dept. very quickly on Monday i.e. 5th December. The person who called me up promised me that the money would be collected from my house on 5th itself and the connection will be done by Tuesday. I did at the time ask him that if he cannot get the connection done by tomorrow i.e. 6th of Dec then I will not ahead with it, but I will then go ahead and take Tata Sky.

    After his commitment I confirmed the connection. The person who came to collect the money also confirmed to me that the installation will be completed by Tuesday 6th Dec 6:00 PM.

    I now get a call from your so called installation team from Mumbai 022 – 4130 4100 from a person called Suraj and he says the connection will be done on Thursday. I do not understand why you people commit to something that your company just cannot do. He says it is a system problem, I do not understand how there can be a system problem when all other connections are working in the area. And if it is a fault from your end, why should I have to compensate by waiting longer.

    This is completely unprofessional, as you first collect the money even before installing the connection and if the customer wants to cancel as you people have not lived upto your commitment, the answer we get is that the money will take 1 week to be returned. This is completely pathetic.

    It is now the 8th of December and i still do not have to connection installed. All i have is a customer Id 3009523692, the registered no. is 9560143134.

    Please advise quickly and clearly on a resolution as I am sure the consumer court would really like to deal with issues like this where big companies are ready to cheat people and then give them problems.
