Dear Sir

I would like to bring to your notice an advertisement which is misleading
the public. There is an advertisement by SUN DIRECT (given below the
snapshot of it), which states the package costs Rs 999* including one year
subscription + Dish + Box Free. (This ad is being shown in various channels
of SUN Network and also the website sundirect.in)

In the bottom of Rs 999*, they have mentioned * Conditions apply. Nowhere
its mentioned, either the installation charges are separate or there is an
additional charge for installation.

When we call the Help line nos. for enquiring about this, they mention the
charges are Rs 1999/- which includes installation charges.

Is this an ethic to advertise like this as the public are completely
mislead by this advertisement ? I understand whatever be the charges they
are collecting should be clearly mentioned on the advertisement.

Why the govt. allows such type of advts. Govt. must strictly atleast henceforth
bring some legislation preventing terms and conditions apply clause. While
advertising, the company must clearly spell out their terms and conditions
not astericks mark. Hope this email may open the eyes of someone
in the govt.

nothing is going to happen on this forum, this is just an extension or replica of our own bloody govt run consumer grievence, these people will only laugh and sit over pur grievences.......nothing is but just bullshit in this country.
And worst is the sun direct has diabled their complaint lines, totally isolated their customers, this is more than the verdicts of this lawless nation,,,,,,,nothing but cange over to a better service peovider, ket the CEO of sun direct put our investments in his a******.
This forum admin has only one hard coded reply, " Please provide your details, we will look into it", the asshole dont know this is what we had been listening from the era of our freedom.....hahahaha, this corporates even bribed them.
