I had bought a sun direct DTH in nov 2009. Smart card No: 41144005950R registered in the name of Anish pillai. On 27 june 2010 the services were suddenly stopped. On 28 june 2010 the services were back but i was not recieving any of my subscribed channels. On 7th july everything stopped. I was recieving a message "E50-32 No Services available". I waited for a couple of days, but there was no improvement. I contacted Sundirect customer care number 18002007575 on 19/07/2010 (i.e a week after all services were stopped (because i was on official tour)) and the CCE asked me to do factory defaults but the problem was not solved. He gave me a complaint number 1-31-8514514 and assured that an engineer will attend the problem. I waited for 2-3 days then i called them back. this time they gave me new complaint number 1-327158658 and gave the same assurance but no one turned up. I again called CC and this time they gave me another complaint number 1-36-2889532 and the same assurance, but no one turned up. After that when ever i call they will give the same assurance but no one has yet attended the complaint. Today when i am posting this complaint i am still recieving the same msg "E50-32 No Services available"

I came to know the problem is due some failure in Insat 4b. If this is so then even after 52 days of the problem why r they not having any backup plans? Why haven't they switched to another satelite till the issue is resolved?

What is TRAI doing in for of Sun direct DTH customer?

Its nearly 2 months my DTH is dead and no one is caring about this matter?

I decided to surrender my connection and when asked about it in CC, they plainly said that you can surrender the DTH but you will not get any refund?

Is this happening because the owner of SUN DIRECT DTH is a politician of south india. I am asking this because it have been 2 months such a major issue is pending and no news channels nor any newpaper have reported it nor taken any interest on behalf of Sun Direct DTH customers.

I would like to know what can i do legally at this situation.
