Many of us are not aware that TRAI has capped cable TV rates in non-CAS areas
which have come into effect from 1st. December,2007.

Following are the rates fixed for Class A1 & A cities.

1.Only free to air Channels(FTA)- (Minimum 30)-----------------------Rs.77/- per
month.

2.FTA Channels plus upto 20 pay channels------------------------------Rs.160/-
per month.

3.FTA Channels plus 20 to 30 pay channels------------------------------Rs.235/-
per month.

4.FTA Channels plus more than 45 pay channels--------------------------Rs.260/-
per month.

For class B1, B2 & other areas, the rates fixed are lower than above.

This information should be largely circulated for the benefit of the consumers.

Please insist upon your Cablewlla to abide by the above rates, DO NOT PAY MORE
and insist on the Bill. In my area, the cablewalla is not giving any bill and
records payment on a card which is kept with him and we have no proof of any
payment made. Atleast, I have informed my cablewalla to disconnect, if he does
not abide by the above rates. Now that alternatives are available, we can get
rid of the monopoly.

EXPLOITATION.
