    Angry Refund request against undelievered / un installed New Tata Sky+ connection

    Dear Support,

    My subscription id - 1049862137
    Transaction Id - 17138504476
    Cancellation reference - 1-7150051086
    Subject - Written acknowledgement of cancellation and refund request mentioning full amount of Rs. 5999

    On 14th July 2010 at 10:10 AM I booked an online Tata Sky+ connection through Mr. Atul Joshi (Sales), he promised to get everything activated within 24 hours and also promised that somebody will contact me within 4 hours for installation schedule. I made Credit Card Transaction through automated IVR for Rs. 5999/- (transaction Id - 17138504476)

    On 15th July 2010 I kept contacting for delivery / installation but was reported by customer care that pack will be delivered through courier which takes maximum of 24 hours time and another 24 hours time is taken for installation. However when the pack is not delivered I again contacted customer care 3 times and spoke to Santosh Chauhan / Ms. Anu who failed to update me for anything and promised a call back with in 2 hours (which never happened).

    Finally I manage to speak to the Floor Supervisor Mr. Rajneesh, who informed me that the set top box is never dispatched and as a matter of fact the set-top-box is out of stock and they need to arrange it.

    My point of concerns are :-
    a) How a component or hardware is sold without having it in stock.
    b) Why money upfront is taken without any written commitment.
    c) Why failure of fulfillment of commitment is not reported.

    Upon this I requested to refund my amount for which the Floor Supervisor Mr. Rajneesh promised will take 7-10 working days which is another shock to me and on top of that he refused to give me anything in written communication and also told me that 2.5% bank charges will be deducted which I refused to pay. Mr. Rajneesh assured me that my money will be refunded in 7 days without any deductions the reference number given is 1-7150051086.

    I request a written acknowledgement of cancellation and refund request mentioning that no deduction should be taken out from 5999 and full amount shall be refunded.

    Default Tata sky

    Hello,
    As you mentioned that you have already registered your complaint with the TATA SKY customer care but still not get any response, so we suggest you to send a written notice to the Nodal Officer via email or registered post, mention all the details in it and ask them for the refund (Full Amount) with in the mentioned time in the notice, wait for their response and revert us back.
    Note: Keep all the copy of Complaint, Notice and the registered post slip, this may help you if you need to knock the consumer forum.
