    I would like to bring to your notice the poor customer service provided by Airtel Digital TV in Mumbai.
    Customer Id 3000082705

    The set top box went dead on 30th Dec 2011 . Following which we logged a complaint in Airtel Customer Care. Our compaint was registered with the Id : DT 123000020 . It has been more than 27 days now still we havent got any response from their side. All we could do is keep on calling customer care ,. they would redirect us to their delivery center located at Kopar Khairane . We were told that we need to contact this service center and follow up with them. Following number was given to us :9987745850 . The person on this phone could not even fix a day for resolving the issue. Meanwhile we updated the complaint on 6th Jan and told the customer care people to forward it to senior authorities as it was not solved yet. But to our utter disappointment nothing happened. We also tried calling the Maharashtra head office 022-40213261 who gave us the number of Koparkhairane delivery center's manager Shubhangi Gawane 9096034796 . We tried calling the manager with the hope that this time it would get resolved but to no avail. After calling a dozen times when she picked up the phone she didnt have the patience even to listen to customer grievances forget about resolving them. Reasons like "I am on leave please contact somebody else " were given . How can a private sector company who has to face competition on daily basis thrive with such irresponsible behaviour ? If you people are threatened by local cable operatiors during dish installations can't your company provide them with escort during visit to customer's office ? Or is it the duty of the customer to escort the technician? Cant your company request the help of police and get this problem sorted once and for all.? But the funny thing is, their are new installations going on in our area and airtel doesnt seem to have any problem while doing that but when existing customers call up for support they use this reason conveniently for their benefit. What I see here is by giving new dish connection to customers the company gets an amount of Rs 3k-4k ata one time, while the set top box replacement gives you only Rs 350 so why care to give service for such less amount !! I would request the readers of this post to think twice before getting airtel DTH installed at your homes. Check whether the company provides the after installation services before taking the decision. Also we have balance of Rs 400 with airtel which we want to get back from your company since we have discontinued your services.

    We wanted to bring this to the notice of higher authorities in Airtel ( if they care) . For us we have replaced your services with another Dish TV. Requesting your to please take the set top box and dish back and return the deposit for the same as soon as possible.
