    Default Complaint against Airtel DTH service

    Hello Consumer forums,

    I made a complaint last month regarding the bad reception of channels on my airtel dth connection.
    A Engineer from airtel came to fix and removed the problem from major channels but some channel reception was not fixed. I also made a payment of 100 rupees for the same.
    The SR number is SR2877745 paid on 1st June.
    Now, the problem has again started since 10 days. I thought that this might be a temporary problem but the signal reception has got worse.
    This has been a utmost dissatisfaction wherein i am feeling in a harassed situation with the services of Airtel DTH Engineers.
    Since last 20 days, 3 Engineers has visited to check the digital tv connection and rectifying the problem but no one was able to do that.
    I had been charged 1 time for the visit charge with no purposes.
    Now the engineer has notified me that the cable wire needs to be replaced from the joint where they left as it is during installation. I had been told that it was my fault to allow the engineer to deploy a local cable wire joint.

    They are still explaining the charges that will be imposed and are not willing to correct this problem.

    Please provide any help in regard to this.

    26th Jan

    subscriber no. 3001110819

    A cse (a girl/woman) misinformed and on insisting that this number (12150) cannot be called from non-airtel phone number, she did not entertain further.

    called again; Another cse - Satyabir singh did not register a complaint against the girl and closed the call on his own.

    Terrible service level.

    Hating it.

    Demanding unconditional apology on this.

    Subject : Wrong charges levied on engineer visit to solve connection problem.

    IT WAS WORST EXPERIENCE OF COMMUNICATION WITH MS.NILIMA (TEAM MEMBER) & MS.HEMANGI (TEAM LEADER) WHO IS TOTALLY ERESPONCIBLE FOR THEIR JOBS AND DON'T KNOW THE ENOUGH INFORMATION REAGARDING AIRTEL DEGITAL'S OWN RULS & RUGULATION ALSO FOLLOWED BY THIER IRRESPONCIBLE TEAM MANAGER WHO JUST NEGLECT THE THING WHEN I AS A CUSTOMER WANT TO TALK WITH HIM AND WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE RULE OF PAYING 100 RS.     IT IS VERY REDICULOUS THAT AS WE ALREADY PREPAID MONTHLY AMOUT AND THEN IF STILL WE FACE ANY PROBLEM, THEN ALSO WE HAVE TO PAY OTHER CHARGES TO AIRTEL.

    hi this is mukesh my phone number is 9949989007 i have given complaint on video problem hd channels recording and now only few hd channels activaed on my dth over 10 hd channels am gettig only 4 and from starting day no one came to my home and closing complaints with resovle den y to Use this dth if u dont want to serve us give back my money yaar Plz guys Tell Them And Refund My Money Guys I Have been Taken this on nov 14th form starting day problems

    I had applied for A-la-carte package including the following channels

DISNEY : 12, 12. : 8, 13. Pogo : 17, 14. BBC WORLD NEWS : 7, 15. CNN : 3, 16. CNN-IBN : 8, 17. NDTV 24x7 : 10, 18. DISCOVERY Science : 15, 19. HISTORY TV : 10
    Total Price: 150
    Pay Price: 150
    However on subscription of the package I have been charged Rs 310 with the following the channels selected as 'showing as topups

    Summary Monthly subscription: Rs.310.45(inclusive of tax)
    The customer care doesnot understand 'A-La-Carte pack', so I had to revert back to my previous pack.
    Not mentioning the extra charges of FTA pack, which I had not asked for, amounts to cheating.
    please reflect the same on yuor web-site...
    I am not pressing charges as I don't have time for such small issues... however these kinds of confirms what I have come to believe- INDIANs are cheats & frauds when it comes to money & power....

    Default complaint against AIRTEL DTH

    On 12thNov11, I was surfing the net on DTH facilities - got a call on same day from Mr Alfred of Airtel DTH that they were offering 2 months free subscription and asked me for my credit card number which was verified and payment confirmation received by sms same day. On 15th Nov I obtained permission from my coop society to install dish tv and this information was convyed to Airtel - however their technicians came for installation only on sunday 20thNov11-no work can be carried out in society as per rules - we asked the technician to come for installation next day but he turned up only 23rdNov11 and did the wiring then. The technician collected Rs.400/- from us for wiring - on what basis dont know and this was not convyed to us earlier. Further till the time of writing this complaint 24th Nov, the DTH connection still awaits activation. When we call Airtel they say it will happen in an hour. Also now they say that we will get only one month free subscription and not 2 months due to delay in installation on their part. In normal course, Airtel should honour their 2 months free subscription offer based on the date of effective payment. If their offer was only for one month free subscription I would have opted either for videocon or reliance and not airtel. Also why is there so much delay in activation of over 24 hours when the wiring technician said that it takes one hour only???

    Kindly assist to resolve asap pls!!!!
