    Default Airtel DTH connection - 999 offer - pathetic

    Hello Sir:

    I am an Airtel customer with mobile # 7708005557 and I stay in Coimbatore with pincode 641041.

    I applied for the DTH connection with the above offer. I booked the connection on June 17, 2010, evening and the transaction ID given was 9343727.

    I was told that this offer can be availed only through SMS or calling this no. 12148 and not through any other mode or source and the only I way I can pay for this connection is through Credit card or any other nationalized bank debit card. So I decided to use my credit card and made the payment and booked the connection.

    I was also told that this connection will be given within 2 days and so far nothing has happened and you people have kept me waiting. I called 12148 to let them know about this issue and they gave me one installation contact no. 9223550071
    and they asked me to contact this no. but unfortunately this no. kept giving the response, "it is switched off."

    I again contacted 12148 and told them about this issue and they told me that they have forwarded my query to the installation section and someone will contact me within today (Saturday) and will make arrangements for the connection.
    So far no one has called me and I am kept waiting again.

    I again called 12148 on Saturday evening and they told me that 'your installation will be done before 12.30 pm on Sunday" but as usual nothing happened. I had called 4 times on Sunday June 20, 2010 and spoke to 4 different people and also one lady from installation team who said that the connection will be given today but she did not give me the name of the executive that is going to come and do the installation.

    Default Airtel DTH : Embarassment from Customer Care Executives

    Hi,

    I am writing this mail with great disappointment, because of the bad customer service from Airtel.

    I am an Airtel customer for 5 years. Last September I changed the prepaid Airtel mobile connection to post paid. Recently I got an offer from Airtel DTH for the Post paid customers. Through that I purchased the Airtel DTH by paying Rs. 999 through credit card ( it was a voice , through which I did the transaction) . The promise I got was, the connection will be installed in my home within 48 hours ( a worst case of 72 hours). I had ordered and paid it on last Tuesday (15th June 2010 ) ; not sure whether it’s Tuesday or Monday. This is not yet installed in my home. I didn’t get any confirmation either by mail or sms. I am still waiting for getting installed it in my home.

    I called 12150 more than 5 times. The executives I contacted are Ramees, Sacaria, Mary, Lalu and few more. I don’t remember all the names. They were not responding to me properly. Yesterday night I called 12150. It was connected to Bangalore location. The call got connected to One Mr. Sacaria. When I explained my problem , that guy was laughing at me. It was such a shame!!! When I asked for the interaction ID or at least Conversation ID, he was not ready to give. He was told that, they are support team only, they don’t have any connection with Airtel. Told me to drop the call. After that One Mr. Lalu gave me all the details. Right now I am in office, I don’t have the Ids with me.

    This is the 120th hour, after I order the Airtel DTH . Do you know onething, I am still on call. I called your Cx Executive 40 min back, one Miss. Mary , Chennai. Still this call is going on. I have been on hold for the last 35 minutes, waiting to redirect to Senior Executive. I am hearing only the rings for the last 35 minutes. Everyone is trying to escape from their responsibilities. Is this the way you treat Customers ?.

    Why did Airtel people harass the Customer like this ?



    If this is a mail or enquiry for new connection, I can expect the call within 1 hour, but as it is a complaint, please tell me how long it will take ?


    I lost faith in Airtel.

    Mr. Rakesh Kumar, while answering to your customers, you should atleast give your Cell no. to them enabling to show your support so as to avoid any diar consequences.
