    Angry Airtel Customer Care

I got a new connection of Airtel DTH in Dec`09.
The STB went wrong on 11th Jun 2010, I called the customer care, he created a complaint and gave me the number: 3030452. He said an engineer will come the next day after 12. So on 12th Jun, I cancelled all my plans, though I had holiday.
But at 2:15 PM, I got message from Airtel saying my complaint is resolved, and if yet unresolved please contact 9898249069.

I tried to call that number, as no one had even arrived to see the problem, but got no reply from that number. Than I again called Airtel Customer care, the person named "Dhirendra Mishra" answered me that he has created a new complaint with number 3035024, and a person will come on 13th June between 1 to 1:30 PM.

    Now, my questions
    • How could they resolve the problem without my confimation?
    • Do I have to stay at home everytime they ask me to?
    • He bluntly said - "Consumer court won't be able to do anything", on my words - "I will go to consumer court", how much is it true?
