    Default Dish TV CHARGES

    Dear Sir

I a subscriver of Dish TV. I have been paying tham as per their Silver Pack rates. Last month I opted for Gold Pack.Again this month month revert back to Silver Pack.I recharged on 23rd Jan so it should be valid for a month i.e. upto 21st Feb but they informed me that it is valid upto 7th Feb only.On enquiry I came to know that thay charged me Rs 40 downgradation charges and Rs 20 Grace period charges and all these have been adjusted with my viewing period without informing me. I can not understand the logic for such charges witout consumer consent. It appears that no body has any control over these service providers who make the rules as per their wish. The basic objective of DTH sercice was that a consumer will pay according to the channels he wish to see. It was never implemented. They provide the service in package which is not channel wise and in addition to that they charges whatever they want and adjust with the amount paid to them for viewing the channel. Whenever there is minor alignment or some other problem they will charges you nothing less than Rs.150-200. I tink it is high time that the regulatory authority make rules in this regard.

Well first if you down grade your package from Higher to lower then you will be charged for Rs.40 which is package handling charges, second if you won't be able to make your payment on time and entered into grace period then Rs.20 will be charged as grace charges.
