    Angry Airtel Digital TV Offer Complain

    Dear Sir,

    I purchased the DTH Connection in Nov 2009 through Internet and I was given soem offers to reduced price, with 3 month subcription free and I was suppose to get a Vocher for 7 day tay in Goa with 7 days of getting my connection. While the customer care did the setup they repeated the same offers confirming the same. Even after 3 months the voucher did not came to me. When I caleld up customer care they said that the this type of offer never existed. And I have to login to Trip Advisor site, put my comments on Hotel listed there ( which of course I have not visited) and if my comments get published then I will be given a discount of some amount. I was totally taken aback on hearing this and when I said to the cusotmer care executive (Mr Anand) that you might be looking at some other offerm where is mine was of a straight forward offer, I was told that there has never been any offer in past or present.

    I am not sure what Airtel is doing here. Is it some ind og hoax being created by Airtel and Trip Advisor as their combined strategy to cheat customers?

    First I am being asked to put the most promising comments on Trip advisor for hotel which I have not visited. I believe this amounts to cheating customer who logins into the website looking for customer feedback so that they can have good trip and stay in hotel.

    Secondly I am being myself cheated for not getting what was published on internet and confirmed by Customer Care executive at the time of DTH installation.

    Please look into the same and get the matter resolved at the earliest.

    Angry Airtel Digital tv cheating massively

    Airtel Digital tv is engaging in massive fraud. I smsed BUY to 54325 to get details of the connection. One executive called and after discussion paid Rs 999 for the connection. She gave me a transaction ID and said customer ID will be smsed in a couple hours. I never received it nor any serial code or activation code. Connection has not been given and it is now close to 2 weeks. Their customer service is so bad...they say they will take complaint but put you on hold and cut the call. Complaints are closed without taking action. When I call they ask for customer ID and I tell them I never received it. After 15 such calls I have thoroughly given up. They have absolutely no record of me paying the money but my credit card has been charged for the amount and I have transaction ID that they gave. Mails to digitaltv@airtel.in are never replied. This is a complete nightmare and I never expected this from Airtel. All in all they have cheated me of Rs 999 and they are not going to give connection. This is the most pathetic customer service experience I have had in my life. My sincere advise to anyone reading this, please please dont go for Airtel Digital tv.

    Post NO proper response from Customer Care

    Hi,
    I have Transfered my Airtel TV connection from Bhubaneswar to Bangalore, i called to customer care for sending engineer to give connection, but after waiting 48 hrs i found no one came, then agian i called customer care and they said engineer will come tomorrow, but they didn't come, next day also called no one came....every time they told tomorrow engineer will come...so the service is not proper here.

    If it will happen like this then i have to go for some other connection.

    In case you are not satisfied with the response of Airtel Customer Care then send a written notice to the Airtel DTH Nodal Officer via email, mention all the details in it and ask them for the proper solution and refund with in the mentioned time in the notice, wait for their response and revert us back.

    Thumbs down Not getting my main Channels

    My Customer ID is 3001713748

    I am a customer of Airtel dish tv , while I purchased this connection on 16 Oct 2009 I had faith and believe that I am going to use a best network and service. But I was wrong as I faced so many problems and I tried to resolve all but really I am surprising that after so many called to customer care I did not get any solution except a comments “we will resolve your problem soon” I called to customer care more than 100 times and get the same reply every time.

    whenever there is a little bit of Clouds overhead then reception of Channels stops, I had complained about that then I got the reply that they cannot do anything as it is a problem from Satellite. OK

    Now I am facing a little bigger problem from 19 Aug 2010 I am not able to receive maximum of my Channels it is around more than 30 Channels which I use to view, I thought it might be a temporary Problem but when till 22 Aug 2010 I was not able to get those Channels I called Customer care and told to lodge a complain for Problem I am facing. They told me “we will resolve your problem soon” the complain No was 3628062 Dt 22 Aug 2010.

    When my problem was not resolved then again I called them on 23 Aug 2010 & told them to lodge one more complain again they told “we will resolve your problem soon” this time the complain No was 3634473 Dt 23 Aug 2010.

    Again on 24 Aug 2010 I called them this time they told there is no need to lodge complain again and again as they will resolve my problem against my previous complains.

    Yesterday on 26 Aug 2010 at 1600Hrs an Engineer came from their side and told that I will be charged 100 Rs as visiting charge, I didnt agreed to pay and the person went back, I called customer care and asked about that and they told that it will be deducted from my account. Now I want to know that when I have already paid for these channels & I am not able to get my Channels then instead of resolving the problem at earliest they are coming after 5 days from the day I have lodged my complain and they are asking money from me only. I had paid for those Channels now it is their responsibility that I should get the Channels if I will not pay even for a single day they will dis-continue my services then when I have paid why I am not able to receive my Channels. Though I have paid for the Channels Because of this problem, I am not able to watch my Cricket Matchs & other favourite programs.
