    Default Regarding Airtel DTH Customer Care

    Hi,

    My name is Satyanarayana Nookala, I have purchased Airtel DTH connection in July, 2009 and Airtel has given 3 months free subscription, after the free subscription was over, I have recharged my account with 2500 INR. Now the problem is, when I am trying to speak with the customer care, there is no response from Customer Care at all, I have waited for the customer care representative to attend my call...but no one picked up my call. I have tried all the possibilities of number but no use. I am losing my money and time here with such a bad service and bad people. Please do the needful.

    Default NO SIGNAL PROBLEM in every month for 2-3 days atleast

    Hi,

    This is Santosh Kumar. My customer id is 3001345102.

    My DTH connection is got disconnected and this kind of problem i am getting regularly. In every 1-2 month i need to lodge the complaint and then atleast it takes 2-3 days to restore the problem. This month again i have the same problem. The service engineer comes like that and then they ask for some money to solve the problem.

    I have another BigTV connection but i never gets this kind of problem.

    Do you really think us to change the service provider? If it is like that then please let me know. Now i am really tired. Today whole day tried and kept calling the customer care but at the end of day i came to know that again today this can't be resolved.

    My complaint ids are as follows: 1950317 and 1952654.

    Default Service Problem

    Airtel DTH was installed yesterday and payment was made instantly.

    The services on my installation is yet to be resumed and it is already been nearly 20 Hours.

    The customer care response is poor. No response yet.

    Default Terrible Service

    Hi Airtel,

    I received a call on sat 1st may 2010 and was offered the Digital TV for Rs.999 with no additional charges. When the package was sold to me it was told that the installation will take place by sunday evening, later in the evening i received the customer ID:3003936748 and was informed that the installation will be complete by 4 pm 3rd of May 2010. I called the customer support and got through to Mr Jineesh who was very rude had no manners to talk to customers and told me that if the message said by 4 pm then it will be done by 4 and ask me to call back if it is not done by 4. I was on call with him at 3:40 pm. When i asked for the supervior he place me on hold for over 15 mins and finally disconnected the call. I called back again and got through to Vijay who was good and on insisting passed the call on to the Sr Agent Rajesh who informed that i have to send a message say "DEALER 560047" to 54325 after which i got the list of dealers in my area.

    Now tell me why should i call the dealer ? till the money was taken i was treated well and once the payment is made i am be pushed from piller to post to get my connection. I will never recommond Airtel Connection to any of my friends and infact post a artical in my company internal website and ask them not to go for Airtel Digital TV. I want my money back to hell with your TV i will go with other providers

    Angry Airtel DTH – Worst Ever Customer Service – Beware

    I bought this connection in April this year Customer Number 3003687190, I logged a request to move the connection/dish to my new house i.e to de install everything from my old house on May 1th and reconnect to my new one on 14th. Technician did not turn up on 14th, and on 18th i again called the customer service and logged a complaint. (ref no : 41391875, 2829968, 2871162, 2879446) Since then I have been calling them.

    I am now moved to my new house. today its 29th May.. No signs of Airtel guys coming in and fixing my connection

    All they had been doing is to deduct money from my account daily for the service that I am not using since May 1st. They also have closed my complaint, so that thier SLA is met.

    I have been since then calling them repeatedly and everytime they told me that some one will be in touch. Infact couple of times they did call me to say, some engineer will call to fix up an appointment

    I am still waiting with my dish lying in living room area of my house Worst Customer Service experience I have ever had.

    I think these guys take the customers for granted...so the exploitation.

    Dear sir,
    i am using your dth services from last one year,id 3000189766,cell no9872291466,my dth is not working from last ten days,i have submitted my complaint to dealer M/s surender radio chheharta amritsar.But he is unable to solve the issue.Then i have contacted your customer care- i have caled the technician Mr.pawan after several attempts he has not given proper response against my complaint.so,we are going dump your settopbox and i will mark a copy to all your competeeters if complaint remains unsolved.

    Thumbs down AIrtel DTH Customer care is a ngihtmare!

    My Customer ID is 3001284963. My set top box hasnt been working for 2 days now. Lodged a complaint on SUnday 11th July 2010. They assured me that the complaint will get resolved within a day. No one has come to my place, the set is sitting uselessly and I got an sms today morning that the complaint has been resolved! I called the toll free number but they said its some technical problem and the technician will visit by 4 p.m. Till date no one has come so when I called the custome rcare again, they had no idea about my complaint! Then they gave me the nodal officer's telephone number. Have been trying this number for an hour since 5 p.m. but the call gets put n hold, only increasing my telephone bill. I have not been able to talk to anyone here too! Is this how an escalation number is handled?

    This is not the first time I am facing this problem, had a similar issue 3 months ago with the set top box and the same routine of complaints getting resolved on Airtel system without any solution to end user was followed. Finally my problem was solved then after a week! I wonder how many days I need to wait this time!

    Regret the decision of opting for airtel DTH.

    As you mentioned that you have already registered your complaint with the Airtel DTH customer care and the Nodal Officer but still not get any response, so we suggest you to send a written notice to the appellate authority via email, mention all the details in it and ask them for the refund with in the mentioned time in the notice, wait for their response and revert us back.
    Note: Keep all the copy of Complaint, Notice and the registered post slip, this may help you if you need to knock the consumer forum.

    Default Airtel DTH customer care sucks

    Hi,

    I Had a great impression of airtel ( regarding mobile), but lost all the trust after speaking to your Airtel DTH customer service executive (Anuja and few others).

    I bought a LG LCD TV and it had the offer of free airtel setup box and dish. In the offer card it's mentioned as below.
    ======
    1. Gently scratch the strip to reveal the 16- digit code ( I did this)
    2. Call 12150 (toll free from Airtel mobile) or 1800 102 8080 (toll free)/020 4018 1400 (toll)
    3. Mention the activation code printed below
    4. Schedule the date of delivery, installation and activation.

    So here is what I did:
    called up customer care 12150
    told customer care exective about this and he said I will get a call back in 2 hours. ( I didn't hear from him or any one for 24 hrs)
    Again I called customer care next day and Customer care agent told they will call back in 2 hours, but no one did.

    3rd, 4th and 5th time I lost my temper after talking to the customer care executive (Anuja)

    I told her about the offer, but she keep on asking me the details, I told everything.. and I told I want to get this resolved.
    She was actually not aware of this offer, she keep on putting me on hold and asking details to other guys ( i guess).
    Later I asked her that I want to escalate this problem to her manager and she directed the call to the Floor Supervisor (Suresh). I was totally f***ed up talking to this guy.

    He told me that he s not aware of this offer and said am a tier 3 customer , so he cannot help. So I asked about the step 2 and 4 mentioned in the airtel DTH offer card. Why did airtel do that if customer care is not going to help ? and I asked what should I do...? he had no answer.... and told me that I go ahead and complain about this....

    Why customer care executives are not aware of this ?

    And finally after hearing all these.. I strongly says to everyone AIRTEL DTH SUCKS!!!


    And why did LG guys do a contract with Airtel.. I donno.. anyway am going to write this to LG too..


    Reply back to me if this airtel ID really existes or someone really care on this ?

    I booked an airtel dth connection through internet on 2August. Transaction ID 10106808. After several calls to customer care(???) till 7th no one came for Installation and no calls for installing the DTH. i decided for cancellation of the order. I called customer care(???) i told for cancellation, they told 48 working hours for refund. Till now no refund is made and also no call from airtel for anything(Cancellation or installation).
    I am really sick calling customer care(14 to 15 times) because literally no answer is coming from them. Sometimes they give bogus number to call us to get solution. Airtel has done a cheating on my money. Now I am ready to file a complaint against this cheating. I have proof for my payment and I have proof that no one came for installation.

    Default customer support disappointing

    This is Rajendran, an existing AIRTEL digital TV customer for the last one year. I have registered for HD upgrade in the AIRTEL WEB page. in the last week of July-2010. An Airtel person with name Kiren Kotkar called me and then clarified the details and advised me to pay Rs.2265/ as the charge for the upgrade. I have paid the same using IVRS. The person then informed me that the airtel person will visit my residence in 48 hours and instal the HD compatible set top box. Even after three days passage no one ever called me up. Then I have started contacting the customer care thro No1800-102-8080 & 12148 almost three times a day. Every time the customer care person will deliberate with the back end person and inform me that the airtel person will call me up in 2 hours and the set box will be installed today. That 'to day' has never materialised sofar. I have repeatedly contacted the customer care almost more than fifty times. Every time, I will get the same reply with added apologetic words for the delay. This is repeating even today. The biggest advantage for the customer care person and the gravest disadvantage for the customer is that the same person will not be talking to you again. Hence a simple apologetic word is sufficient for them. This is how the customer care is being taken care by the big corporates also. No customer care person need to face the customer again. I even got the cell no. of an higher lever airtel executive could communicate with him yesterday(after many days of repeated attempts and listening to the same voice informing me that the cell phone is kept switched off) . He was serious enough to look into the problem and finally intimated me that the job will be done today(i.e. yesterday the 17th Aug.2010). But even today my disappointment continues. THey may have many problems of including non availability of the instrument etc. But atleast the local person who has to implement the same can have the courtesy of calling the customer and inform him the status and the probable date of installation. Neither they are bothered to inform nor the customer care persons give the local area contact no.(This is their policy as informed by them.). So we keep talking to the personnel sitting in the head quarters and giving promises every day and we keep listening ot them as a matter of fun. I do not know whether the instrument will be installed at all? Are they serious about the customer care at all? Only the time will answer.

    Every time I call Customer care no the computor say to dial 12150 and it is not a valid no.
    I this case what to do and how to put a complaint.
