    Default Airtel DTH - Customer Service Sucks

    NEVER NEVER OPT FOR AIRTEL DTH CONNECTION

    Here is what happened to me:

    I got an LCD HD TV and wanted to get a new Airtel HD connection. I put my information on Airtel website and very nice person (of course from SALES department!!) called me back and explained the options. I wanted to still shop for a few other options but this guy kept calling me and explaining different plans etc etc. Anyway, finally I thought of going with Airtel HD and paid the money over phone. The sales executive gave me a transaction id (10365170) and mentioned that the installation will be completed in 24 hours. This happened on Aug 19 around 1 PM. Later I got the customer id (3005009733) by SMS.

    I waited for a few days and no calls or emails showed up. Finally, on Aug 23, I started making calls to the customer service (12150) and every time I was told that the "BACKEND TEAM" and "CONCERNED DEPARTMENT" will get back to me shortly. Anyway, there is no call, no action from anyone. So far I made about 15/20 calls to the customer care and no result is seen yet.

    On Aug 24, finally I got to talk to a supervisor (Manasa) at around 9:30 AM and she mentioned that if the installation is not done within another 24 hours, the money will be refunded. But it was expected to be done by the end of day, Aug 24.

    Today is Aug 25 and nothing has happened so far. So I called the customer service again and got to talk to another supervisor (Syed) and asked for the refund to happen. He mentioned that the "BACKEND TEAM" will call me by 2:00 PM to process the refund. Now it is 1 PM and still no call.

    Anyway, there is a price of every experience. To have the bad experience with Airtel DTH Customer Service, it costs only Rs 2855.00 and 7 days. If you are rich and have enough time to spend, go ahead; otherwise, stay miles away from them!

    Unhappy Terrible service

    In May, I received a call from an Airtel BPO (Sampark) and they told a scheme for Rs. 2000 for whole year.
    I accpeted and they provide me a receipt for the same, however, provided no extra information about what I need to do.
    Now, my service validity as per Airtel is till January, not May. They are saying that I should have notified them that I am recharging my account with 2000 within a scheme and this is not a top up.
    This is ridiculous! How do I know that I have to notify Airtel DTH about this? If this is a real consumer court, please help. Either I want my balance back or continue the service till May, 10.

    Airtel is really a big thief, no less than Reliance. This is my big mistake. Readers, please do not subscribe for Airtel DTH. Go for Tata Sky either.

    Dear All
    I am a new customer of Airtel DTH,I bought this by 9th September,but still the activation is not done.I Paid Rs 3850,Though Airtel is costly i preferred it because of theirsupport but now i came to know that airtel people are taking the money but not responding back.Their aim is to achieve the target and not the customers satisfaction.

    I have called up the customer care more than 15 times but the response is same that we have forwarded your request to concern department and the issue will be fixed within 4 hrs max time frame.I was told i will get the call from airtel person before 2 P.M and before 6 P.M and before 8 P.M,but still no one have called me.

    I am fedup of this.I would have gone to some other good service like reliance or tatasky.Now i had told all my friends and colligues not to but airtel because of their poor response and support.

    I checked the forums also they are also responding the same.

    Please also advice your friends and colligues not to go for Airtel DTH.

    I booked for Airtel digital TV connect on 5th September on 999 offer. Customer id is 3005175586. They made me to pay the amount through IVRS by promising me that installation will be done before 48 hours. But till now I have never heard anything on installation. I have called around 100 times to customer care and the only response is that I will get a call from installation department. i am very tired of this follow up. Now I have called them and asked to disconnect the service as I dont want to be customer of such a pathetic product. Even for that also their response was I will get a call. Please let me know how can I take this to consumer court
