Dear Madam/Sir,
I had recently purchased TATA Sky DTH vide transaction number 1-4932903838 (amount paid - Rs 2099/-) on 07.09.2009. Received my Set top box on 09.09.2009 through courrier. Logged an installation request vide no 1-4947522957 on 09.09.2009 and was given my TATA Sky subscriber ID - 1036359451. Also SMS received from TATA Sky that engineer will visit by 12.09.2009 against the installation request no 1-4947522957.
Till date nobody arrived for installation. Further complaint lodged: 1-5027121034 on 22.09.2009, and 1-5080334244 on 29.09.2009. But nothing happened. Each time TATA Sky helpdesk (no 022-60006633) would give below mentioned reason for non installation:-
I STAY AT FLAT NO 404, SHREE CHINTAMANI CHS, PLOT NO 51, SECTOR 21, KHARGHAR, NAVI MUMBAI.
AS PER TATA SKY THERE IS A LOCAL ISSUE BETWEEN KHARGHAR CABLE OPERATOR AND DTH. THEIR ENGINEERS AT TIMES WERE MANHANDLED BY LOCAL CABLE OPERATORS DURING INSTALLATION AT KHARGHAR. SO THEY ARE WAITING FOR POLICE PROTECTION FOR THEIR ENGINEERS AND ONLY AFTER THAT IT WILL BE INSTALLED. WHEN ASKED FOR ANY TENTATIVE DATE THEY ARE SPEECHLESS.
Now i have even asked them that i will cooperate on the same by collecting the dish from the engineer and will have it installed at my location so that engineer may come some other time with police protection to activate the same. But they did not accept the same. Also i asked them to keep me informed on the progress but nobody bothers to call up. It is me who does all the follow up through helpdesk. I even asked for mail id of seniors in Tata Sky but they did not oblige. Thus i am writing in this forum to get justice.
Decission on compensation part regarding mental agony that i am passing through is left to honourable judges to decide. Only thing i want is either TATA Sky will install the set within 15.10.2009 else will take back the set top box and refund me the full amunt .
