Dell PC Delivery - Worst service ever!!!

    Default Dell PC Delivery - Worst service ever!!!

    I had ordered a Dell Computer on 27th July, 2011.
    It was supposed to be delivered on August 4th, 2011 (The Estimated Delivery Date for this order is on or before 04/08/2011 is what the order read).
    I had very clearly mentioned the Billing address and Delivery address and Dell happily shipped the consignment to the Billing address! instead of the Delivery address.
    And when I called them up, they confirmed it was their mistake and it will be taken care of. But it hasn't been until now!
    They told it would be re-routed to the new address in a week. And I have been waiting for the past three weeks and nothing has happened!
    It is August 23rd today and no signs of the computer yet!
    Whenever I get a call from Dell, they keep on saying that the shipment would be delivered the next day! I have been hearing it for the past three weeks.
    I am totally frustrated and given up as they have been lying and have made a complete fool of me.

    They were quick to get my credit card swiped and after that care a damn!

    I went for Dell as I expected the service to be good. A big mistake! This is the worst ever service I had to experience.
    And would suggest others to be careful about Dell as well.

    I have ended up waiting for a month and I guess should have gone for a an assembled PC instead!
    Will be going to the customer court tomorrow in person to lodge my case.
    This was supposed to be a birthday gift and it was a huge mistake to have trusted DELL!
    Simple piece of advice - If you want a PC in one or two weeks, never ever go for DELL!

    A frustrating three weeks! Thanks to Dell!

    Default dell mis representation

    recently purchased an optiplex 990-- six weeks ago

    - Talked to sales rep - asked 3 separate questions about the graphics card
    Does it have a dual port output? yes he said -- Are they VGA or Digital or both? He said both. Are they ATI compatible? He said yes.-- It arrived with a single graphics port- Called immediately. They said they would fix it. Six weeks later no resolution. six weeks of phone calls. Asked the customer service supervisor-- Do you want me to return and lose a ten year customer rather than fix this? She said that would be fine. So now I get to waste days of setting up all the programs and disk directories-- again. Good bye dell-- Good machines but now have the worst customer service in the industry. Maybe going the way of Compaq?????

    Basically thier is nothing like customer service i purchased the dell laptop 5010 3 months back it was started giving problem it was purchase from the kay kay over seas which is the dell distributor in mumbai i guess they told me to give a call in their tech support team but it take approx 25 min to reach thier 2ndly after putting me to the long hold i got the answer that your machine is not in warranty the unit which was sold to me was refurbish product and after that the kay kay also refuse to accept it this was my worst experience with dell and in future i was never reccomend dell to any one i am surprise how the company like dell has appointed such idiots as thier distributors bcoz of this thier brand images are going down that all idiots does not even know how to talk with a customer

    I am very sorry to hear this. It is indeed a very unfortunate incident however, please check if you purchased the system from a Dell Authorized Dealer. It is very likely that this system was sold illegally to you and hence it does not carry any warranty. We always guide our customers to check the authenticity of the seller and the product you are purchasing.
