i bought a dell pc on 5th november from the dell store in bandra...it was a dell studio one 19...the salesman made it very clear that I WAS ELIGIBLE for a free upgrade to windows 7.
i was supposed to register for the upgrade online. the dell website stated that any pc bought after june 26th was eligible for the upgrade provided it was registered before 31st january 2010.
however, i kept trying to register for the upgrade and there was a problem. so after many repeated attempts i contacted the customer support. according to them, the dell website was overloaded and so they requested me to try after a few weeks,
so i tried after a few weeks and the same problem showed. so i again contacted the customer support and this time they said i wasnt eligible for the upgrade because my pc was purchased before 26th june. after explaining to them that i have the bill etc...they said they couldnt help
i visited the dell store twice after this and both the times they promised to get back to me. the salesman stopped returning my calls.
turns out my pc was billed before 26th june! what should i do??
