Dell India has to be the worst customer service ever! first of all the hard drive crashed without warning. When we called the customer service centre and told them the messages on screen they said that We will have to pay the Engineers visitng charges of Rs.1800 PLUS the COST of a new HARD Drive(RS.7000) upfront EVEN BEFORE THE ENGINEER HAS COME HOME FOR A DIAGNOSTIC VISITS!
This payment accepted is only via credit card. 3 days after the money has reached them we get a NO calls from their side and we call them.The customer service agent says they called us even though we did not recieve a call. After that we are told that we will have to give them the old hard drive(the crashed drive). I have to know WHEN i have paid rs.7000 for the new hard drive why should i give the old one to dell!!! They DO NOT even provide data retrieval services!!! So in effect they will take my old hard drive and fix it and resell it!.. THIS IS THE WORSE POLICY ever!!!!
This is the last time I am buying a dell computer or recommending one to my company or friends.
