Unautherized withdrawl from saving account against a credit card

    Angry Unautherized withdrawl from saving account against a credit card

    I have a saving account with ICICI bank
    Icici bank has transfer 9717 rs from my saving account on 5 sep 2009 to a credit card
    without my approval and authorization

    when I called to customer care and asked about this transaction. They told me that there was
    a oustanding on your credit card, which we have taken from your saving account.
    But I do not hold any ICICI bank credit card. When I told them about this, they said no you hold 2 ICICI credit card.

    After a long discussion with them, they confirm me following things.

    1. 2 credit card had been issued on my name in 2006. last 4 digit of first card is 1000. No information about 2nd card
    2. An ICICI Lombard insurrance policy had been opened on my card and EMI amount is deducted from my credit card (No

    information abt EMI amount)
    3. The card is NOT dispatched to me and has been closed.
    4. We have deducted this amount from your saving account (without my autherization)

    I had applied approx 10 times for ICICI bank credit card, but never get it.

    When I asked, how can a transaction happen on a credit card if it is not activated or dispatched to customer. they did not

    say anything and asked me to visit there office.

    I go to ICICI bank sec 110 Noida branch. They said that they can not do anything because it is related to credit card (money

    is withdrawn from my saving account) and asked me to visit Sec 50 Noida Branch. When I go there they asked me the credit card

    number which I dont have. They even didnt take my complain.

    Now I am stucked. No way to go.

    There are few thing which happen wrong in my case.

    1. Without my approval, autherization, The money is withdrawn from my saving account
    This means that my money is not safe with ICICI bank.
    Tomorrow, they can say that there is outstanding on your 2nd card and we have again deducted the same amount from your

    saving account.

    2. A transaction has been made against a card which is not dispatched to customer.
    As per my knowledge, this is not possible for any bank in the world.


    3. Now lets assume that, there is a card issued and a policy is opened. why did I not recieve any monthly statement for that.

    why have I not been inform about that.

    4. lets assume this also -> If u have priviledge to withdraw money from my account.
    Then you should have taken that money before due date. why have you deducted that money after 3 year.


    This is very strange happen with me.

    Request you to help me to get my money back.

    Angry 9257 has been withdawn w/o my authorization from my HDFC bank

    I also have a similar story and I am very annoyed for this.I will never trust HDFC/ICICI or so called Private banks.

    Dear Mr. Rai,

    To sort out such kind of Banking complaints, you will have to send a written complaint to the Head Office of the concerned Bank and wait for the response for near 15 to 20 days. If the Bank fails to provide you any help in that time frame then you can send your written complaint to the RBIs Banking Ombudsman division. To approach the first level, Bank's Head Office address is:

    Bandra- Kurla Complex, Mumbai,

    Default hsbc card complaint

    Hi

    I am using HSBC credit card 4384599909489345 since 2005. In Feb 2009 , I confirmed amount dues as 3,391 and I paid that amount by ICICI bank Cheque No. 27408.
    On June 20th, I got a call from HSBC that Rs. 150 is pending in my Account and If i want to settle that , I have to pay Rupees 150. After getting amount they promised me to issue settlement letter.
    Recovering agent visited my house next day (21/06/09) and I paid him Rs. 150.
    Details of receipt are :

    Collector Name : Devi Dey
    Authorised Collection Firm : Serco BPO
    Reciept No. 0741796

    I thought that Amount is settled and I will get settlement letter soon.
    To my surpise I got a call on 27th June that I have pending amount of Rs. 600 in my account. If I have to do settlement I have to pay that amount. I literaly shouted on them and they apologies for that.

    I applied for a Home Loan transfer from IDBI. To my surprise again . IDBI people told me that I have a balance of 3500 in my HSBC Card.

    Can you please help me in getting out from this viscious cycle.

    asking for credit card number which I dont have.
    I have replied again with my saving account no.

    Hi Admin,

    As per your suggestion, I had sent written complaint to mention address.
    It has been around 1 month, I did not recieve any reply from ICICI bank.
    Even I did not recieve any call from them.

    Please suggest what should I do now.

    Default Deducted Rs- 9038.55 against Credit Card from my Salary account without prior inform

    Dear Sir,

    This is to inform you that I Shri Sudipto Dey an employee of Dunlop India Ltd opened a new salary account in your bank 2 months before.



    My new savings a/c no is – 098301501976. On 17/09/2009 my company credited rs 39870/= against my salary & annual benefit and I found that

    Rs-9038.55 got blocked by you due to a credit card #4477460635572003. And also I got a msg in my mobile on 19/09/2009 that Rs- 9038.55 has been deducted from my salary account. But how without any prior information you have deducted my money though it was blocked by you and without any proper investigation.



    I still declared that there was no dues lying against the credit card because previously I was in Ceat Ltd on 2003 and there also my salary account was opened in your bank. One of your representative persuadingly gave me a card . And I never purchased anything against that card.



    But in 2004 your collection agents came to me and told me that I have purchased goods against my credit card and I have to pay the money. But as per my knowledge I never purchased anything from anywhere against that card. Than I told them to produce me the bill than only I will make the payment, but they failed to produce any bill. Than they told me to settled the account with a minimum amount but I refused that offer because I never purchased anything against my credit card. And also to inform you that that account was opened till December 2007.



    This is a very serious issue. You are requested to revert my amount of Rs-9038.55 with interest immediately to my salary account No-098301501976. Failing which I shall be forced to take legal action and than off to consumer court. Bank will be responsible for all the expenses etc. for that.



    Your immediate attention and action is solicited in this issue.

    Dear Moderator,

    My name is Vivek an am a ex banker myself. For the last 3 days i have been just going through the customer complaints. I think here there is a fault of both, the customer and the bank. The customer half of the times does not know the terms and conditions of the credit cards and their rate of interest which they get charged. The banks are also fooling the customers of their money. More than half of the bank rep's have not knowledge about the banking products and do not comply to the RBI guideline. I ad a HDFC bank rep in my office for me to open a salary account which all employees of my company have. The rep was trying to take my signatures on some blank forms. I took a step and tore all the blank papers on which he was tring to take my signatures. Infact he wanted to fill up my app form also. Being a banker I know that the customer has to fill up the app form as per KYC norms. Surprisingly the bank rep did not know about the same. It is a fault on the banks side to train their employees and to recruit quality staff rather than recruiting staff with lower salaries as the banks reputation is on stake. I am actually surprised with the quality of staff in ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank. They are actually picked up from the roadside corners and are put on sales, who can do anything to make that few bucks from their incentives. More shockingly after seeing so many complaints against banks why is the RBI not taking any steps for safe guarding the interest of the customers. Out of every 100 complaints 75-80 are complaints against HDFC bank. Why cant RBI take some drastic steps in penalising these banks for every customer complaints. I think as a consumer court instead of just giving suggestions, you guys have to take some step against these banks. The customer can only remove frustration by writing on your site and then waiting for a suggestion. The bank replies on the cmplaints are the same standard replies which is copied and pasted for every complaint. Why cant the RBI have a meeting with Mr. K.V. Kamat and Mr. Aditya Puri about the same.
