Recovery Complaint ... Loan on Card - ICICI ICICI Loan on Card REF: 9401 2701 0444 9009
With reference to the above, I wish to mention that I need time to settle this loan,
as my priority is to settle a personal loan.
Fundamentally speaking, I need to settle a debt through my revenue generation
and not by creating another debt to clear above loan / loan emi.
Why is it that I have not received a call from a recognizable number of the Bank ?
Please go as per procedures laid down by RBI guidelines.
Recovery agent Mr.Jagannath 9739730861 from Aricent Collection agency, has directly
landed at my residence apartment in my absence, without even bothering to
give me call and check with me. He then escalates his call to his boss Mr.Mahesh 9980044222..
How come Mr.Jagannath says that he does not have my contact number? Playing tricks I guess..
Your collection agents do not even flash their badge to the security personnel,
then what is the identity? Where are they coming from?
Are they coming directly from bank or coming from recovery agency?
Recovery agencies cannot force their way and attempt to create nuisance.
They do not have the license to do so in a confrontational manner.
This callous and unwarranted aggression is probably due to lack of proper training
and ill informed procedures.
Your guidelines tell that if the customer is not comfortable in meeting with an agent
at residence, then a suitable choice is venue is suggested.
Why is it that recovery agencies have almost been given a free hand to what they want?
I understand I have taken a loan, and due to financial circumstances it has got delayed,
but that does not make me a criminal for lack of funds.
I am committed to resolving / settling the issue. Please be patient as I need to close the
personal loan issues first. I cannot pay nor clear multiple debts at same time.
This will lead me nowhere and I will not be able to come out of my debt trap.
Harassing and attempt to extort will not solve issues. Please try and assess the ground
reality of customer circumstances. Work innovative ways to deal with the customers,
without agony to his family.
The bank needs to have a toll free number to address grievances of an immediate nature.
Many customers get troubled after the close of banking hours, and beyond 6 PM too!
It looks shabby if the collection agents end up misbehaving with female members and old
members, in the absence of the actual loan account holder.
Please consider sensitive issues when you are trying to deal with collection of debts.
Getting into hostile engagements will never work.
I am always free to receive any call, and have always kept the bank personnel informed
about my status.
As of now, it is not possible to think of any payments as the season has approached
for a parent like me, and childrens school expenditure takes a priority.
I am in a complex situation.

in india all these dont work..as people have deaf ears....it is sad but true that you are being anoyed by these criminals..
you have to defend your ownself by being firm and assertive.
if recovery agents misbehave with female members of family go to womans cell in bangalor e and lodge a complaint.

Sir, it was really shabby even what happened the next day (Thursday May 17th, 2012) after the above episode.
Jagannath and his colleagues came early in the morning at about 7:45 AM or 8 AM hoping to meet / confront me in person. They arrived at the apartment complex and created such a nuisance with the security guard(s), that office going neighbors were disturbed and gathered around the commotion. These recovery agents then asked the security guard to show them around as to where I lived in the apartment complex, and also asked which is my parking space.
The security guard was literally bugged with them and called me on my cell phone.
The early morning visit too me quite by surprise, and I called the Police Control room 100, and a patrol policeman came on his motorbike. It is only on his arrival that I decided to come down and meet them all.
I then told them that I would visit their Bommanahalli branch that very day in the afternoon. And I did visit the Bommanahalli branch
I met Manoranjan at ICICI branch and he asked me to deposit atleast an EMI or 2 EMIs to keep the account the on track.
I told him it is difficult and I cannot do so. I have not promised anyone that I would make any payments, and are hard forcing me to make an EMI payment latest by Mon 22nd, explaining all the reasons of financial distress. But he would'nt budge and asked me to consider his predicament as he 'obviously has his numbers to be met' .
18th May
Next day Jagannath calls me up and arrives with alcohol smelling in his breath. This time he waited next to a temple on the way to my apartment complex. With great reluctance, I hand over an HDFC cheque dated 22nd for Rs 15000/=. I told him it might not go through as I have many commitments to make. Nevertheless he makes a receipt and I signed for it. But
I did not get the receipt as he escalated the call to his Recovery Agency, and he hands me his mobile to speak to his recovery colleague. He told me to honor the cheque as they have a commitment to the Bank and they are pressure from the concerned Manager.
I was then told to make the payment by cash. I refused. He told me he would come down on 25th May to collect cash, which pretty well will not be possible. I don't know why I am being coerced into doing so.
In fact I want to stop the whole process -- right now. Please, I do CAN NOT want to make any payment as of now, as I need time gap of 4 months by which time either I may regularize the account or look forward to settling the account.
I am in a financial distress now and want to be left alone to handle extremely urgent priorities at my end.
Very very unethical methods..I want the senior management ICICI to intervene as early as possible.
