Dear sir,
I'm having a salary account at HDFC-BANK, they have issued a credit card to me 1 year back.
The CARD NO is- 5176521008898449.
I have paid all there dues intime and before date.
They unscrupulously used my card refill fuel at Indraprastha Gas limited in september without my knowledge.
I have been paying EMI for the same for last 4 months.I have complained about this to their representative.As per the discussion,
I have also forwarded the complaint form to the bank regarding this and informed them to clear this amount and reimburse all the money they collected from me.They failed to do this due to which i have not paid the previous EMI.
Now they have blocked my HDFCBANK salary account which is a serious case of harassment.
I dont know what to do further should I file a case or go to banking ombudsman.
Please help.

Myself Shrikant Virkar. I am working with "Siemens Ltd" in Mumbai as a "Junior Executive". Writing to you with the lot of financial & mental pain.
I own a salary account (acc no: 00801140015746 & 00802470022849) of HDFC bank on the behalf of my company. My HDFC bank customer id is 22707046.
HDFC long back (1 year back, even before that) issued me a credit card (card no as they mentioned: 5176351003900440) on the behalf of my saving/salary account of HDFC bank on the mailing address of Home on which I rarely receive Statements on time.
Now prior to 4-5 months, I got a memo from HDFC saying that your card is now suspended as it is having dues of some Rs. 13500. HDFC Bank also said that they have included my name in the "DEFAULTER LIST" and take action against me.
At that time I have paid minimum amount due as said by the collection department and get my payments regulated. After that I realized importance of issue and placed voice complaints against wrong amount due by bank as I did not received statements on time, so how can I pay on time. After registering so many complaints in customer care, finally I got a call from bank saying they will give me final settlement amount I have to pay. Since that call I never received any call from concerned department nor statements. Hence I also didn’t make any payment. Suddenly last month I got a call from same department saying there are dues of Rs. 18278.38 on my account, so I got frustrated and once again asked for final settlement amount. That lady arrogantly said me she will back to me with settlement letter but before that I must pay Rs. 5000 as partial payment so she can proceed, immediately next day I have issued a cheque of Rs. 5000 towards my card. After that again there is no correspondence as if they got what they want, I kept on calling but no response and every time they picked call and disconnected. So I place a stop payment for the cheque issued. But they never stopped debiting me late payment charges, interest, overlimit charges etc. and balance kept on increasing.
After that I got a notice from debt management department saying there are dues on my account. Then also on the basis of those dues, HDFC bank has upheld my current account on 04/05/10, having closing balance of Rs. 17057.21 without any prior information. I contacted HDFC bank but they are saying that "we cannot do anything to it as this is the matter of HDFC Credit Card Division". When contacted HDFC Credit Card Division, they told me that there dues on my accounts are correct and neither complaint nor request registered from my side. Now I really don't understand that even after wasting so much money on calling and putting request for above mentioned credit card, why my account has been kept on hold.
I mailed HDFC bank so many times and tried to make them convince that I never received statements on time and talked to one of their colleague for clearing dues, but they didn't show any interest. I even warned them that "if you don't take me seriously, I will take legal actions against you"; but they didn't give me any satisfactory answer even I was never told that what is going on with my HDFC saving/salary account & when it will be unhold. They just said that our investigation is in process and we will intimate you but I hardly contacted by them for giving any information. Due to holding funds my loan ECS are also got bounced for which my account has been debited with charges. Is it my fault??
Now at last after getting frustrate and depress, I am challenging HDFC bank for this irresponsible activity. As being the customer of HDFC bank and an "Indian National", I demand HDFC bank to either unhold my saving/salary account with all the money back(with all the interest) since I am ready to make payment of settlement amount but I do not have any other fund. I do request you to take appropriate actions against HDFC bank as because of this entire thing, I have mentally suffered a lot. Sometimes I felt to do something with me as I do not any other source of living.
I also expect the "Court Of Law" to force HDFC bank to withdraw my name back from the "DEFAULTER LIST" as it really spoiling my reputation and hurting my self-respect. I hope that being the helping body for the consumers, you will review the entire episode and take the appropriate actions against the bank.

Good Morning, 5 years back I had a Citibank Credit Card (Credit Card # 5425 5698 5019 0000) issued on October, 2005 with credit limit of Rs.14000/- which was linked with a Citibank salary account. I made so many transactions and paid outstanding so many times to Citibank. In 2006 my grandmother was very ill so I go back my home town with bag and baggage, unfortunately at that point of time I was not able to paid remaining outstanding of approx Rs.11,000/-. I came back to Delhi after 2 years in May, 2007 and got job in June, 2007 and opened another new salary account in Citibank (Citibank account# 5121104228), because previous account had been closed.
Now, Citibank debited 10,607.65 from my Citibank salary account (account# 5121104228) on 31-May-2010 without any prior notice/information.
Citibank made 11,000/- to 96,000/- includes very high interest rate and additional charges. I am a service class person and having family of 5 members including 11 months old baby girl, how I can pay back 96,000 to Citibank against 11,000. Since Citibank started to debit credit card’s outstanding from my Citibank salary account so, I am struggling to fulfill basic needs or bread and butter with remaining amount of my salary after deduction.Please help me to get this case resolved as early as possible
I have not enclosed any documents as a proof, because I don't have any documents. I have taken all the information related to credit cards from Citibank customer service.

This is Suman Roy an HDFC CREDIT CARD HOLDER (5176-5210-0574-7169), i have been looted by HDFC collections department for almost a year. Last month i cleared all my dues related to my credit card settlement amount even while repaying the dues i asked the collections people about a statement which could show that this is what you have paid till now and this is what you need to pay for these many months to which they replied that once you clear your dues than only you can recieve a No dues Statement which certainly indicates that untill and unless the collection people say i am through i can't get any information about my dues at all to which even bank could not help as advised by the collection people they said bank will not have the information of my settlement until and unless i clear all the dues from their side, therfore all i could do is to keep paying the dues and asking them every time they call that howmuch more i need to pay to which they reply that our system shows this much and taht much. Then last to month, i.e May, i was promised by Ms. Harleen Kaur (Mob no 9873131795) that on receipt of my last payment of Rs/- 2200 which was last month because of certain late fees to cover my settlement amount which i did and i was told by this lady called Harleen kaur that i will recieve my No dues statement by starting of June and she said there will not be any calls from now onwards from the collection department , However the irony is that even after completing my credit dard dues, Today i received a call from HDFC Collections department from SWATI Land Line No. (011-45074400) saying that they need to collect my credit card payment. I said to her that Harleen had said that there aren't any dues now and i was supposed to receive a NO Dues stattement and if i could speak to Harleen in regards to that to which she replied that Harleen is not there. Then i decidecd to speak to Harleen on her No (9873131795) she picked up the phone and when i asked her about my NO DUES STATEMENT she suddenly dropped the call and from then onwards she is not picking up my calls at all. Now SWATI will call me around 4 pm again.
I am really very depressed because of this after paying so much of money i feel like i had looted by HDFC collection goons. And for sure i am not going to pay any further amount to them.
I kindly request the concerned person to look after my query as soon as possible.

A local court has summoned Aditya Puri, Managing Director of HDFC Bank, to appear in the court on July 17 in connection with a complaint filed against him on charges of extortion under Section 384 of the Indian Penal Code.
The complainant, local resident Gagandeep Mehta, has alleged that he held an HDFC Bank credit card and had been making regular payments to the bank. However, he changed his residence after which he did not receive any monthly statements.
The bank issued him a recovery notice for having failed to pay the minimum outstanding dues. The complainant said after receiving the notice he deposited Rs 11,000 on February 2 last year and sought duplicate bank statements from December, 2008, to March, 2009. The bank refused to supply the statements.
He again deposited a total of Rs 14,000 on three occasions, but the statements were still not supplied.
Later, the bank offered him a settlement for Rs 27,600. However, when he asked for details of transactions, the bank refused. Instead he was issued a legal notice asking him to pay Rs 47,005. He alleged that he was threatened and abused by bank officials.
The complainant then filed a complaint in the court of Sunita Gupta, Judicial Magistrate, Ist Class, who has summoned Puri on July 17 to stand trial.
sir my name is naveen tiwari and i reside in jamshedpur. i took a hdfc credit card some 5 years back and availed Rs. 12000 credit from the card. i have made a settlement of the pending dues against card 5 years back itself and stopped using it. offlate i observe that bank has put up a overdue of Rs. 1220/- in CIBIL. i have appled for a credit limit in state bank of india and my file got returned due to this negetavie remark of hdfc card showing overdue. when i approached creditcard division for obtaining a NOC intially i was told to pau 4370 rupees and after 2 days they say i need to pay rupees 7197. both of these figures are not justified at all and when sought for details they say that it can't be provided to me on mail as my mail id is not registered.
sir, my concern is that (1)when already a settlement has been made why any outstanding is been shown in CIBIL
(2) if there was any outsatnding then why not any follow ups or reminders from hdfc bank, were they waiting for heavy cumulative interest
(3) why 2 different figures been given in 2 days span
my business getting hamoered due to crisis of fund which i would have got from sbi if there have been no credit card issue.
sir please help me in this regard.

here with i am writing you this mail with so hard heart that i was thinking that HDFC is the best banking and gives good servieses to customers.i had given jumbo cash loan precloser application in thje year 2008 and done extra 4% amount for precloser of loan.i was recieving every month my statement deducting "pl to cc"amount.for this i did a call to customer care he mentioned that my jumbo cash loan precloser submitted successfully but deduction will be every month in this manner and i will receive statement in negative due amount they deduct amount in emi and no worry about this.
last month i received stetment mentioned due amount in positive figure so did call to customer care they said there is no due amount please check if it of other card i have.i replied that i dont have any other hdfc credit card and let check again that.they told that this may be mistake and no worry.
again this month i received call from customer care that i have charged fine for late payment and have to pay 1300 something amount and last five emi are not paid for jumbo cash loan account.hence i did call to MR.JATIN mob no.9374634817 that requesting to check where is the problem , he told me that he has find the problem but he has to mail chennai for this and final due amount will become zero,dont worry.
after that again did call to customer care talk with mr.VINOD and asked about my due if any he replied no dues again i asked that please check again if any due in jumbo cash loan he replied no dues sir..,
right now i have recieved sms that 2322.64 rs due amount.
it is my humble request to you please sort out this problem because of this i am even not getting sleep at night and tensed.

Raghavendra VH Here.I have a credit card from HDFC Bank issued in 2005 and for 4 years I have made payments on my card and been clearing my card dues. In 2009 July I lost my job in Bangalore and went to mental trauma. I had a dues of Rs. 10000/- at that point of time on my card. I couldnt pay the dues in time as I was under seviour financial crisis. During Feb 2010 we had a marriage in our house and the HDFC collection agents called my house on marriage day and not only used abusive language to the servants present there but also threatened.( I would like HDFC richmond branch to takeout the calls they have made on 28.02.2010 and investigate it) This caused a mental shock to my parents and still they have not come out of it. This has really angered me and I didnt respond to their calls there after.Still in good faith In august 2010 I went HDFC Richmond office and met one ms Fathima and agreed to pay off 10000/- she agreed and told that she will come back to me. She didnt comeback .
Do note that I have gone through extreme times both physically and mentally since last one year and still have not comeout of it.I have lost half interest in my life.
Now they say outstanding is 31600/- and it is in legal recovery stage and they can accept only 20-23000.Still I am unable to recover from my financial crisis and ready to make 15000/- as full settlement in one shot, somehow arranging money from someone.
Can any one support me?

Hi Team,
This is to notify you that my credit card has been charged with false transactions & i am not receiving appropriate help from the customer care.
I have made valid transactions amounting 3818 rupees till now in this month.
I check my card details everyday, yesterday i checked my credit card details online.
I saw an unauthorized transaction of Rs 751 done by by card.
I called the customer card they told me a couple of offline transactions have been done (500+200+50+1 = 751)
I specifically told the rep that the card was with me & i was at home.
We came to a conclusion that it might be a system glitch as swiping for 1 rupee did not made any sense.
The rep advised me to call again & get the amount in dispute as its currently in outstanding amount section.
Ticket No# 11012347882 was issued to me & the rep assured i don't have to pay anything from the amount of 751.
I check my account again today to see if the amount was moved to unbilled transaction in order call the bank again.
I was shocked to see the outstanding amount was increased to 5751 rupees.
I called the bank again to report the story & got my card disabled & got the Ticket - 11013454874
I told the bank to not to pay the amount to the merchant & put it in dispute (knowing that it is not the bank's policy)
If we pay the merchant & then decide if the merchant is fraud or not does not makes any sense to me.
I really need bank's support & guidance as the money i earn is hard earned money & can not afford to pay 9069 rupees when i have only spent 3838 rupees.
I was issued a gold card in the month of may in the year 2009 which was upgraded by the bank to a titanium card due my good credit history.
Till this date i have not faced any such issues & have not failed to pay a single bill. Everything has been done in an excellent manner.
I am really worried & considered in order to what will happen, i really request you not to pay the merchant & file legal charges against him.
