Hi,
In the August of 2007 I was issued a CC from ICICI Bank, Bangalore. I couldn't not repay my bills since then due to job loss due to recession and I am still recuperating from the financial losses. The total outstanding amount on your credit card 5176537105498008 is Rs.93831.71 and the principal outstanding amount is Rs.62512.13. I was unable to pay for many personal reasons. After 4 years the collection agent contacts me and asks me to pay the full outstanding amount, which anyway I cannot pay. I am jobless since an year now. However, I have agreed to pay 25% of the outstanding amount. I even spoke with the Debt Manager, emailed him, but he is reluctant on the offer and has already forwarded the issue to Lok Adalat. Moreover, when I called them back in two weeks the agent said that a warrant might be issued against me in case of any further delay in payment. They are stuck with the 42% of the outstanding amount. A 100 Rupee note to me is a luxury now. Can anyone help me how to explain to them and make them understand my situation? I want them to give 25% of the outstanding amount and make a final settlement with ICICI.
Thanks,
Yash.

Dear ICICI CC Team,
Thank you for a prompt reply! It's 4:00PM and I just received a call from ICICI collection agent in Hyderabad. This guy has given me a raw deal. I have clearly mentioned in my previous post that I would be paying 25% of the outstanding amount since I am jobless above an year now. Since they are demanding 39,000 to be precise, before Nov 30, I couldn't arrange from any sources I know. This person talks indignantly, becomes irascible and informs me in an aggressive manner that a warrant would be issued in case I do not make the payment, and later I shouldn't repent for the consequences. I have explained the situation to him again, but he's adamant in collecting the money and told me not to give false expectations. The debt manager called me yesterday and spoke in a rough manner as well. He was irascible because I placed complaint with the ICICI bank customer care. Can it be settled in a more peaceful way involving lesser persons and higher officials in ICICI debt department in case I need to speak? Not to mention, as soon as possible?
Thanks and Regards,
ICICI Customer,
Yash.
