    Default false and mis representation of information over the phone

    This mail is in regard to my new SBI credit card which I have received on 10th Fabruary, 2011.

    Regarding my application: I have applied this card when your executive from Mumbai have called and told me regarding benefits of the card. They have told me that there will be one time fee Rs. 499 and you will get the voucher of Rs. 2500 along with this card and this voucher is redeemable without any conditions at BIG BAZAR along with 2.5% cash back on all dept stores and restorents, 0% fuel surcharge, 50% cash back if air ticket will be booked by easygo.com, 5% cash back on utility bill payments etc.

    But today when I have received this card I got information thru papers come alongwith card that there will be annum fee as Rs. 499 which i need to pay every year and there was only two vouchers i.e. Rs. 100 from Loot and Rs. 500 from Vimal, and the same is valid only when I will spend Rs. 2500 at Vimal store and the same was not communicated to me. there is no other benefits as mentioned by your executive.

    If I would have informed that I will only get Rs 600/- Voucher and that too is redeemable when I will spend Rs. 2500 than I would have never applied for this card as there is a joining Fees of Rs. 499/- as I am already having two credit card with sufficient amount of credit limit.

    I am telling you frankly I am not going to bear the joining fees of Rs. 499/- so kindly waived off.

    Kindly take this as a serious matter else I will go to the consumer court to file a case of fraud and sharing wrong and false information.

    I will wait for 3 next working days after that I will forward the same mail to the consumer court department.

    Default SBI Credit card Annual fee menace

    My SBI Card Account Number: 4006676050226623 (this is not the card number)

    I have SBI credit card which was issued to me around ~2005. Every year I have a problem of Annual fee getting debited, last year I informed to cancel the card and destroyed card snap was sent to SBI then again they reissued the card stating the card got converted to Annual fee FREE card. But again now I received a annual fee debit of Rs.750. During year 2010 SBI card accepted my plea and reversed the Annual fee.

    It has been promised that the SBI VISA gold card Annual charge will be waived off permanently. I'm tired of writing and talking to the help desk agents on this from the date I took this card (7 + years).

    Since there is no positive improvement in past 7 years, I'm afraid to use SBI card. Also the help desk agents behavior makes me to think "Why should own a SBI card ?".

    Also note that the New card which was issued still enabled and inactive for more than a year. The help agents claimed within 24hrs the card will be active when I complained, but date it did not However the current SBI call center agents claim "since I've not used the card I should pay the Annual fee now".

    Please help from get rid of this kind mockery customer service and I'm unable to cancel the card also, because SBI re-issues brand new card again !

    My name is Manish Sharma , and my SBI Card number is 0004317575200792407, Its more than 5-6 yrs old card i was using earlier, dated 15/4/2011 i received a call from SBI for the settlement , i agreed on it the settlement amount was Rs 22840.00 , I have given 2 cheques to Sbi Crad one cheque was cleared amount of Rs. 11140.00 on April, another one for the month of May is bounced , i called up sbi people and said that My Mom was expired and i utilised the funds , so please help me out , I informed them that i am able to pay next month not this month they agreed , again i received a call from SBI people that i had words with my Boss dont worry you make a fresh cheque your letter will be valid then i paid through new cheque on dated 29/6/2011 amount of Rs. 11700.00 , these cheque is cleared , Now today again i received a call for settlement another guy is saying that the earlier letter was not valid now, you have to pay again, My question is why SBI people misguide me, why they asking for new settlememt now, I dont have a Single penny now to pay, I dont have any job or work, The amount i paid earlier also i borrow from others,

    Please reply me i am not in a position to pay again, This is cheating by SBI Tele callers , when i informed them about everything and they agreed that no issue you pay second installment card will be settled .

    Now they are threatening me over the phone , for Re-settlement if again i dont have funds .

    Hi,

    MY name is Subhash Chandra and I have been using SBI's credit card for almost 4 years now. Recently, due to Shifting from Delhi to Bangalore I had got my mobile number changed and hence couldn't update the same on time via SBI's website. Therefore, I missed the alerts on my mobile and even the credit card statement. As a result I missed the deadline for payment by a week, but then I updated my mobile in my online account's profile and even paid the full amount. Naturally, in my next statement I was charged for = Late fees (Rs 350)+Taxes (Rs 65)+Fin Charge on Retail (Rs 280) = Rs 695/=, on a transaction value of Rs 3316. This is humongous amount charged for Rs 3316/= payment due. When I asked the customer care, they said that they can only refund the late fee charges and would not refund the Fin Retail Charge. I agreed to pay the interest Tax (Rs 65/=), but despite several requests he didn't entertain the reversal of Rs 280/=. When I inquired about the charges he said it's 3.35%/per month on the due amount and that comes to Rs 111/-, but he also said that even the other transaction would be charged at the same rate, despite them being not even a part of the previous statement cycle. That means for the payment that is due next month they have already charged the late fees @40.2%/per annum in the current cycle only without even the bill being generated.
    This is highly unjustifiable as such a fine print detail is never communicated to the customer and it appears like a fraudulent charge for those who may not know this. I think the consumer court should take strict action on this part as SBI credit Card is charging all this without even notifying the customer via SMS/Call or Email.

    For me, it was really a painful experience because I never thought that my loyalty of 4 years with SBI card would be treated like this, knowing the fact that I had never defaulted on any payment in the past and always paid the full amount on time. I'm really disappointed with the treatment here and If I don't get the justice now, I'll never use this card again. This is a real shame for the entire SBI Credit Card fraternity.

    Hope that justice prevails here and I do get my due Refund considering my past records and circumstances.

    Dear Sir,
    This is to bring your kind attention that 5 years back lost my SBI CREDIT after get to know the procedure from their customer care. No due was pending
    and I did not renew the card for next annual year. Till date they did not send any settlement letter. And very recently, they are charging me two times Rs.448/- & Rs.400/- for penalty. How it is possible. They repeatedly giving me the telephone call demanding the money. Since I have pay silps all payments.
    Please take the necessary action against their unscrupulous activity please tell me

    Default excess charges


    Dear Sir,My name is Renu Bala and my D.O.B is 21-08-1968. I wasissued credit card no. 4317575027819375 from SBI in the year 2005 without any application from me.There was no intimation to me regarding penalty of bounced cheque. I procuredsome items on credit card valuing Rs.1066 which was paid by me through chequeno.131932 dated 29-9-2007 syndicate bank, Patiala, But cheque was bounced dueto error. The same was again paid by me vide cheque no.116468 dated 1-10-2007of SBOP/DMW Branch, Patiala. Which had been cleared as per my bank record, Butnow I applied for housing loan from HDFC Patiala. Where I has been showndefaulter by SBI in cibil report & shown Rs 12850 outstanding. Where as I have no knowledge of anyoutstanding amount. Please help me. My contact number is 99145-65536.

    Default ICICI Banks monopoly

    Hi this is Vivek,

    Is it possible to recover the money 40000.00 which is forcefully taken out from my ICICI Bank account in 2006 towards my credit card outstanding, I was going thru very bad times those day due to this I had no option to sold my flat. my grand father also died because I was not able to provide the medication on right time due to lack of money.

    Good morning sir,

    i have a sbi credit card no.4006 6610 1507 3534 which was issue by sbi bank in 1998 with credit limit of rs.30000.00 and afterward seeing to good record increase up to limit of rs.40000.00.
    I had paid regularly up to 2001 but due to financial mishap i cannot pay balance ammount approxy rs.7000.00 now bank had gone to arbitration in delhi where i am not afford to go delhi court.
    3 days before i recd award from arbitrator to pay rs.400,285.52.
    I am requesting for history from card issued to me.if i have to contact rti pl.guide me.mahendra kadia.

    Hi All,

    On 14th of October i have blocked our sbi cards but they blocked only primary card and the add on card, However, to our disappointment on 17th October 2011 at 1:49 pm, we having received two SMSes stating that a purchase of Rs. 40,000/- (Rupees Forty Thousand Only) and Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) respectively had been fraudulently made by using our card (***9702). We immediately informed the SBI Customer Care of this fraudulent transaction committed on us. The customer care requested us to wait for 48 hours to further know the nature of the transactions. We sent so many letters and so many times i called up to customer care people. Still they are saying it was in investigation stage and they are requesting me to wait for some more days to get some idea on this.

    Other side they are keep on calling me to clear this.One side they are saying it is in investigation stage, other side they are calling me to pay this amount. In same organization how this mismatch. How can i pay this since i have not used the cards and i have not lost the cards or stolen our cards.
    Please help me on this .

    On 14th October 2011, we had called SBI Customer Care and requested them to kindly block the card bearing no. 5241 8264 2901 9710. the add on card (**** 9702) . However, to our disappointment on 17th October 2011 at 1:49 pm, we having received two SMSes stating that a purchase of Rs. 40,000/- (Rupees Forty Thousand Only) and Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) respectively had been fraudulently made by using our card (***9702). We immediately informed the SBI Customer Care of this fraudulent transaction committed on us. The customer care requested us to wait for 48 hours to further know the nature of the transactions. The first of us was also asked us to fill out a dispute form which we did and sent to you by sending an email and a fax as indicated by you on your website. We have had prolonged correspondence with you on this matter and had brought it to your notice that the card was not lost or stolen and was with us and that we were in Bangalore and not in Patna when the transaction took place. We had also brought it to your notice that the signature did not match the signature of the second of us, viz, Mrs. Sujata Dhanranikota (the wife of the first of us) and had been assured that your esteemed bank would help us. It has been thoroughly disappointing however to see that no action has been taken by you for initiating action against the person/s fraudulently acting in spite of the fact that it was brought to your notice early. Prompt action from your end could have prevented the wrongful loss from occurring. Subsequently, inspite of repeatedly bringing it to your notice, there were no positive responses from your side.

    We have been grieved that despite repeatedly bringing your lapses to your notice, you are trying to further harass us by adding penalties etc.,. with out taking adequate care and looking into this matter as you had assured to do so. This negligent behavior on your part causing wrongful loss to us which shows your deliberate act of dereliction in causing wrongful loss to us for no fault of ours . We request that you would kindly look into this matter and rectify this impasse at the earliest by remitting the said sum of Rs. 60,000/- (Rupees Sixty Thousand only) together with interest into my account failing which we would be forced to take legal recourse in the interest of justice .
    We request you to desist from sending demands for the amount fraudulently used by someone in collusion with your staff. We are no longer liable to pay any amount from such fraudulent transactions. Trust you will do the needful.

    In the year 2006-april,I opted for Tata Credit card manage and maintained by SBI credit card department.However after six months I got a call from SBI customer care wherein they mention that I have an outstanding amount nearly rs33000(approx) on my credit card that I have to pay them.I was completely taken by surprises and told them that,this expenses were not done by me and its a forgery.However they were not ready to understand and insisted me to pay the outstanding amount.I locked a formal complaint to SBI customer care and requested them to investigate.To my surprise,they were not ready to investigate rather demanded outstanding amount,I had writen email to mumbai cyber crime and also went to police station to lodge FIR,however here also police wanted bank Representative to come to police station and do the FIR.I also went to SBI Credit card mumbai office but everything in vain.I told them that I won"t be paying single penny as this expenses were not done by me.Now when I check my CIBIL reports (after 6 years) it shaws rs178000 as write off(outstanding).Please advice to take with this issue.SBI customer service is very poor .I want my name to be removed from CIBIL.I had never defaulted any of my loan be it personal,insurance etc.SBI credit card transaction was forgery and I had not paid anything.

    This is SHAIK BILAL AHMED, I am serving in the Army. I am facing the trouble of SBI credit card for last one year. The bank is not giving any reply and not paying/creding the SBI credit card amount to DSP account No 20034882755. I am applying for a SBI credit card in Mar 2011. But till date I have not received the card and not refunded the amount towards the credit card. My bank name is STATE BANK OF INDIA, HUMAYUN NAGAR BRANCH, MEHDIPATNAM, ANDHRA PRADESH 500028. I have requested to send the letter to the branch manager for several times. But the bank could not reply the letters.
