I even don't remember what my HDFC credit card number is. Last year I got call from HDFC collections department to pay final outstanding of 1500/- against my card which was closed in 2006 (I guess). I agreed as I applied for a loan & was told that there is some outstanding reflecting against my name in CIBIL report. I made payment & was assured that NOC letter will be given to me immediately. It never happened. I called the number provided to me from collections & that number never connects. Recently I applied for home loan & still similar outstanding is reflecting against my name. I get telemarketing calls for HDFC bank C.Cards assuring an approved card under my name & when I apply, they reject it saying "You donot meet bank policy". What the hell? I already hold SBI, Stancy & Citibank cards. What different policy does HDFC has? Why are they dragging the things? I called the C.Care dept. of HDFC & they were unable to find any info for me. What can be done now?
