I was forced to apply for a HDFC credit card in 2006 which had a limit of 30 thousand rupees. I had used the card and had missed some payment because of being unemplyed at that moment. Interest was put to my credit card bill and i had to make a payment every month. Finally they agreed to settle my account for 15000 rupees. I agreed because i was so harrassed with their rebuking calls . Some people from legal department came to my house for collection and told me that they will be settling my account. I gave them my details and agreed to make a payment accordingly. They gave me papers which was signed by one of the representative. (They sayed they are from legal Department) I kept on making the payment as promised. Finally one day i realised that my bank account is on hold. I went to their head office and came to know that those papers were not valid and they have actually not settled my account. They debited the money from my account. Then i kept on calling them but they avoided my call like i am the collector and they are the borrower.I gave them warning etc etc nothing helps. They finally asked me to pay another 5000 ruppes and settle . I ask them papers they didnot give me . Finally they again freezed my account for 20000 rupees .Everytime my salary comes they just freeze my account. Till now for a card of 30,000 limit they have taken about 70 thousands ruppees from me ,still not settling my account and asking for more 40,000. I am very stressful of their doing and would like to get justice.I am an young earner and needs to support my younger sister.Please help.
