    Unhappy Harrassment By ABN AMRO.

My Wife holds an ABN AMRO credit card.
    ABN AMRO card no: 5239504001051385.
    Name : Hetal Agaskar

A settlement had asked from ABN AMRO Bank, and it was promised to be done. But nothing happened, instead she started receiving abusive calls from the recovery agents. the same was conveyed to the customer care , but the same continued to happen. We have the all the copies of the correspondence with them.

Two days beforeTwo persons came with a signed letter from the Regional Collection Manager which stated clearly that the settlement amount is Rs 25,000/- and the amount should be settled in 21 days from the date of receipt of payment, the letter was dated 24th August 2009.The letter was shown to us the copy was not handed over to us, we were told that the letter would be handed on the receipt of payment, when the letter says a copy of the letter is hereby handed to you as an intimation of payment within 21 days of date of receipt and a copy regarding the acceptance of the same should be signed and handed back.

The person called up to demand 5000/ as cash before 31st, even though the letter states 21 days from 24th august i.e. 15h September and has refused to take a cheque of the amount dates 15th September 2009, insisting only on cash.He has asked us to "shove the cheque up our behind" and refused to collect it.Also, the letter categorically states that the amount should be paid as 'Lumpsum' amount, so we have no idea why they are asking for a payment which is broken in two parts , insisting on Rs 5000 as immediate cash.

Now we are constantly getting calls for the same from the recovery agent as well as the ABN AMRO Bank's KPCT branch, Fatima Nagar , Pune.Kindly take some action this, as we have tried explaining our situation to the customer care, also informing them that we would approach the consumer court , but it seems to be falling on deaf ears.
Please do take some action as soon as possible.

    Regards,
    Swaroop Agaskar
