Dear Sir,
I am a ICICI credit card holder. I recived a statement of Rs 5120/- from icici bank,
I paid it through hdfc cheque. ICICI debited wrong amount of Rs 186/ from my account
in the morning of 10/08/09. My bank HDFC realized the mistake done by ICICI in the
evening after reciveing the scanned copy of the cheque (which was for Rs 5120/-) ,
they credited my account with Rs 186/- and debited for Rs 5120/- . But on the other
hand ICICI credit card division showed bounce of Rs 5120/- and clearence of cheque
Rs 186/- from the same cheque in my statement. They also put late payment charges ,
intrest , etc on my credit card. I have filled a complaint in ICICI bank. On their
request for sending scanned copy of my HDFC statement showing the transactions, I
have send it twice to the email id provided by ICICI. Now I am reciving calls from
ICICI which are harrasing me . I have also asked for the compensation from them, as
this is a massive banking error from their account department (showing the debited
of Rs 186/- against the cheque amount of Rs5120). Is it possible that I can file a
case against ICICI for mental harrasment and embarsement as they have also blocked
my card.
Sir please guide me through this problem
