This refers to Cancellation of my SCB Credit Card numbered 4129-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx and putting up of my name in the CIBIL defaulters list by SCB.
This is actually a 2003 case but I only recently came to know about this when I applied for another credit card.
SCB has entered my name into CIBIL due to non payment of dues which is actually the amount of renewal fee whereas I had requested for cancellation of the card via a number of phone calls to their helpdesk and registered letters to the Bank (I have a copy of the same)
I had requested SCB to cancel my credit card in the year 2004 for which, however, I never received a response. My payment track record with SCB was clean, without exception. My payment track record with other banks such as State Bank of India, is clean, without exception. There is nothing payable by me on account of any of the purchases made by me.
I would like to know whether I can go to consumer court against the Bank.
