Hi,

I was using the Standard Chartered Credit Card. However on 03 - Apr -2009, I
was robbed off my card and was severely beaten up by some people. Before I
could block my card, a transaction of Rs 16,960 was already made on my card.
When I brought this to the notice of bank, they assured me that action would
be taken. However in some time they sent me some documents which contained
the merchant copy of the transaction receipt. The signature on the copy did
not match my signature. I called the bank to inform them but instead of
helping me they started threatening me that i have to make the payment. They
also chardeg heavy interest when i did not pay this amount for the first
month. I think it is the responsibility of the merchant to confirm my
signature. If he did not do this correctly, the bank should charge the
merchant for this. Because of the continuous threats I paid the entire
amount including the tax. But injustice has been done to be regarding this.

Please provide me with a way so that i can claim my money from the bank.
