The issue dates back to June 2007. Even after paying all legit dues against my credit card no. 4384599913608989 on time, HSBC levied late payment charges and finance charges twice on my credit card bill. I immediately logged a complaint at their call center but the rude customer service exec at the other end made me decide to cancel the services. The same exec told me that the card is being cancelled immediately and a NOC would be issued on the payment of my dues. As advised by her, I paid up the amount sans LPC and FC. I realised that my woes were far from over when I received another bill in the next month with more LPC and FC charged over the amount I was advised not to pay. Inspite of hundreds of calls between now and then, the issue remains status quo. The bank keeps on sending me the statement of my supposed defunct card every month adding more LPC and FC everytime. Sometime in last year, they, i assume, referred the case to collection agencies who used to talk quite scurrilously and wanted immediate action else threatened me to face consequences. I, in response, always tried to explain them my side of the story to which they assured me they would revert with clarifications but never did. The 300 something amount which I was advised not to pay by their own employee has swollen up to 10000. I advise them to check their records and do the necessary reversals so that I can be pardoned for making the mistake of using their unprofessional services.

The card should be immediately cancelled and I should not receive any bill going forward. All disputed charges wrt LPC or FC be waived of.
