    Default ICICI Recovery Agent tried to Slap Me and threatened to KILL me

    Dear Sir

    This has reference to my credit card no ending 5176XXXXXXXX3001

    I have received an e-mail for EMI conversion of my card dues on 30 August 2010 and then subsequent call from Mr Bhupinder who says to be from ICICI Mumbai regarding EMI conversion. At the same time I was receiving a call from Ms Rihana from ICICI Delhi. Ms Rihana told me that the case is with her and for the settlement of this card and conversion to EMI I need to pay 2700. I have paid this in 20 September 2011. Each month a collector visited me to collect the payment. I was in the impression of that my card is under settlement and I am paying the EMI.

    Till far I have paid, after the false promise of EMI conversion

    However in April 2011, a person named Yadav (Cell No. 9999299641) came to collect the payment and told me that it is not under settlement. He can ask his office and make this settlement and he can give me more discount if I pay some extra cash to him. I am little confused about his statement. However, I gave him the money through the cheque and He collected the payment and told me that in May he will contact me for the settlement. On 1st week of May I received a call from that person and he told me that my card can be settled for 58000 with EMI. When I insisted him for the letter, he said it will be issued next month. I told him that I do not have money right now and call me after 16 May. On 17 May he called me and I told that I need a settlement and I am in discussion with Customer care..He became furious and started using abusive words and told me that he will visit my office and see me how I am not paying.

    On 18 May he entered my office forcefully and did not even bother to sign the register. he started using abusive words. I said I am not going to pay you anything. I shall pay to ICICI Bank. he said he is the bank, no customer care can help. If I do not pay then he will see me on the road, and even kill me. He started using abusive language. When I asked is this the way you are being trained by ICICI, he told who cares ICICI. If you can not pay the money, then let your mother and sister sleep with him.

    I told him not to use this language, and go away,he tried to slap me, where as my office guys caught him and told to leave the place.

    Today I was out of office for some official work after Lunch and I received call from the person named Yadav. I did not receive the call. Call from another number 9718700175 and subsequent SMS came to me where he has written that he is sitting in my office. I did not respone. He started abusing my office guys.


    Dear Sir, if you see the card statement for the last one year, and my earlier communication in this regards, you will understand that in which position I am going through. My condition is not good, and this type of confusion ulmost led me to more depression. Since last September, I have already paid more that Rs. 23000.00 after a false promise of EMI and again he is insisiting to pay me 58000.

    Sir, I am going through a very very bad financial situation and recently I was hospitalised and spent a lot money. I am not in a position to pay more. Kindly consider my situation and settle my card. I have already paid more than what I have actually expensed. Again I was betrayed by telling that I am paying EMI.

    I have already registed a complaint with The Banking Ombudsman, Reserve Bank of India New Delhi, APARNA MUKHERJEE, BSR Code 60300000000000 on 18 May, 2011.

    All above these made the situation more worse, and my office has asked me to settle this outside or resign from the job.Since last two days situation made me frightened and as the Yadav has told me that if I do not pay 58000 by 20 May, he will try to do harm me or even kill me.

    IF SOMETHING UNTOWARD INCIDENTS HAPPENS TO MY LIFE OR MY FAMILY, ONLY ICICI BANK, AND ITS COLLECTION AGENCY AND THE AGENT YADAV SHALL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE.

    FURTHER TO MY COMPLAINT ABOVE, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY COMMUNICATION FROM ICICI EXCEPT THE THREATENING CALLS.
    YESTERDAY I DISCHARGED FROM THE HOSPITAL AND THIS MORNING, I TRIED TO COMMUNICATE WITH ICICI CUSTOMER CARE AND TO MY SURPRISE, THEY HAVE BLOCKED ALL E-MAILS FROM MY E-MAIL ID. BELOW THE COPY OF THE FAILURE MESSAGE WHICH I RECEIVED BACK.

    MY MAIL TO ICICI AS FOLLOWS:

    Further to my previous e-mails and telcon with customer care, I have not received back any communication from the ICICI except the threatening calls from 9990646328 (Yadav), 9718700175, 0124 4087673.

    Attached is the guest register, where Mr. Yadav has visited my office.

    All these incidents made my managment to ask me for quitting the job. I have been betrayed by ICICI since last August 2010, and now only for ICICI I lost my job.

    Attached is my medical receipt, which the incident made to be hospitalised. As per doctor, it seems hypertension which may leads to heart attack, for which only ICICI shall be held responsbile. I am discharged yesterday from the hospital and now taking complete bed rest.

    I have made a complaint to the customer care over phone, complaint no. R177543208, and till far no action has been taken, and still I am receiving the call.
    I have forwarded a complaint to ICICI hyderabad. The courier slip is attached herewith.

    I am suffering from the mental harassment, and physical threatening, and lost the job due to ICICI agent.

    As per banking ombudsman 2006 rule, attached herewith the no agent can harassment a credit card defaulter in any case for the non payment. It is very ridiculous that ICICI is appointing the GOONs to collect the payment. Attached the banking ombudsman notification.

    From all the above, why should not ICICI pay the compensation for me for all the mishappening.
    I would have paid the EMI to the agent, if he had shown me his identity card, or any letter. Instead, he asked me extra money to do the settlement.

    PLEASE TREAT THIS MATTER ON AN URGENT BASIS AND DO THE NEEDFUL.

    I AM GOING THROUGH A TRAUMATIC SITUATION AND IF ANY THING HAPPENS TO MY LIFE ONLY ICICI SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE.

    1st and foremost., your greviance has not been addressed as the following greviance has been addressed to the bank individually.
    Individual greviances are usually rubbed off....it has to be noted that the Banking ombdusman are paid servants of private banks so they are like dead ducks.
    This is how corrupt system of India is...sorry to say but it is a hard fact and can be proven by proofs of the systems negligence and failure in dealing with such matters.
    This being the principle cause : ICICI with ist double standards do threaten the customer thru goondas and hooligans as this here.

    This matter has been taken very seriosly as violation of human rights- law and order and can be effectively handled and addressed thru medium of banking laws.
