Hello,

I had a standard charted bank card in-between 2002-2003 and in 2003 I got a foreign location job and had hence visited Standard charted bank in ITO, met their representative and requested to close the account and that I would clear their outstanding she has asked me to pay approximately around INR 50,000(approximately) which was outstanding and which I paid to them. I have not heard from them since.

Now after almost 7 year I am getting call again from standard charted bank that there is an outstanding and on my requesting them to send statement, even after giving them my address they are not will to send.

They are harassing me and want me to do a settlement with me without having preview to the statement or knowing what this outstanding is towards.

I don’t even now remember the card no etc as so much time has lapsed.

I am ordinary middle class Indian trying to live with dignity and honesty, till date I had credits card from HDFC, Citibank, SBI ,Amercian Express, including Standard Charted Bank I have paid every one and continue doing with the one running.

I don’t have problem in paying anyone in terms on intend but I need to know what I am paying towards, hence need a statement. Currently I am being subjected to harassment by the bank employees etc.

I would request your help in this matter to guide and direct me on this matter, please.
