Thi is aginst my Credit card company. I have platinum card with HDFC Bank. I recieved the card in Feb' 11 and my payment is due towards the Bank. I recently moved my residence and called HDFC to update my new address. The Associate at the on the line asked me to call back later and get the address updated. By that time the Bill was already sent on my previous address, where i no longer live. On Friday 6th May, 2011, afternoon I recieved a call from the bank informing that my payment was due and I should pay it at the earliest, I called up the customer Service Dept and asked them for my statement. The associate advised that it was delivered to my address (previous address). I questioned the associate that "how can the bank deliver a copy of statement to someone else" and it was sent by couruer. I asked them to check the name of the person who signed the courier. The associate replied saying that the name is not legible. I was very disappointed and requested to send me a e-bill on my email id. I also changed my address on the same call.
On the same evening(friday, 06th May, 2011), i recieved another call from the same number 01166219091, the man did not even state his name and started the call by saying "Payment kab karani hai tumne". i rplied saying that I will make the payment today, he shouted at me saying "Jab ank band ho jayega, kya tab karayegi". I was furious and hung up. He kept calling me after that, I did not answer as he was displaying abusive behavior.
I recieved calls on the following days as well. every call I answered got worst with time. He went up to the extenet of saying .. (" Bank aaapke saath kya karey ke tum pay karo, do paise ki sharam nahi hai tumhe, doob ke mar ja, teri aukat hai bhi pay karne ki") This converstation is as is.
I am harrased by these people and being a women, i am scared that this man might try and harm me, he is so abusive on the phone, what if he comes to my house. I am deeply disappointed and feel harrased by the bank employees.
I am willing to settle the payment and I have all the intention to make the payment, however, such behvior is very discouraging for a customer to keep his account with such a Bank. I will never reccomend anyone to use this bank. I am harrased to the core. That man is so abusive and ill mannered that i fear a physical harm.
I am mentioning all the numbers that I receievd calls from:
I am looking for Justice here. at consumer court, it is my duty and right to ask for the appropriate action.

abusive behaviour of HDFC Employees on phone
Dear Sir / Madam,
I am a prominent Customer of HDFC Bank and i am HDFC Saving Account, HDFC Car Loan, HDFC Credit card since more then 2 years. Also I have my car loan from HDFC Bank and also I have got a personal loan from HDFC Bank.
Due to my fathers accident in month of October I have to left New Delhi. And i came back in January and joined a new job.
As i had left my old job so my old number was surrendered. So i update my current number to HDFC customer care so that if any details need to be forwarded then they may contact me on this number.
Also i had informed and requested customer care centre that as due to some unfortunate accidents in my family my credit card payment was due last month and as i cam back in Delhi this month and join a new job so i will clear my past dues and this month dues till end of this month and also whatever is the interest charges i will also pay it.
customer care executive assured me that it is perfectly fine and i can do that.
Now as soon as i update my new number to customer care after some time i got a call from some of your branch whose land line numbers are 0116219091, 01143145300.
They started talking in such a way which was unacceptable for me. I have a long relationship with HDFC bank and i was loyal from my side till date and before yesterday i was thinking that it was the best bank to work with and best bank to refer anyone to use the HDFC Bank Services.
But your HDFC peoples started continousely abusing from these number (0116219091, 01143145300).
When i had shared my mobile number with customer care center and asked her suggestion initially about late payment she told me i can. Then why am i harassed with these calls. Also these peoples are threatening my that they will came to my place and i have to pay the consequences.
If i have bad intentions then why should i update my new number to my credit card records. Also if i have to do insulting conversation with your employees then why should the customer care executive assured me that i can pay the amount after date and intrest will be charged accordingly.
I feel very disturbed and decided that the commitment what HDFC bank's employees and manager committed to support customers are totally false. We are not using the services to get insulted or harassed. So i decided that if i don't get any positive response over this mail, then i am not going to avail HDFC credit card facility ever and i will surrender my card after clearance of all pending dues at the earliest.
