    Default standard chartered bank

    I had been using a credit card no.4129048380115516 of standard chartered bank. In January 2000 I was intimated by the credit card deptt. that ch. no. 011992 dated 15.12.99 for Rs. 3557.22 against my outstanding dues was not received. In April,2004 I learnt that my name is appearing in defaulters list and since then I have been requesting them to delete my name from the defaulters list. No new credit card is issued by any bank on account of this but this bank sanctioned me a mileagae points.

    Default harassment by the bank

    I am being using credit card 5546292908077984 since 1998. So far going good. Duriong last year I had bad experience that is I have been entrucsted the Manhattan Card of SCB in the palce of existing card. The deetails are given below for your perusal and action.


    Dear Sir,

    with reference to the above credit card, I have been banking with them for the past 10 years and above. During March 2009, I was forced to get the Card Manhattan Credit card by the SCB. Then to my fate, I left for USA for 4 months after receiving the cre dit care,I WAS TOLD THAT credit card (Manhattan) was given on the best performance of my titatium card.(5546232908077984) And Also I was given instabuys's Account facility. Even that Instabuy's account also I was forced to take after convincing me. To my bad luck during my visit to USA, I have made some arrangement by paying some advance payment for 3 months for the card. It was misfired and My payment was failed for the month of July09.When I returned from US also, after paying penalty, I have regularised the account. When I was asked to cancel my Manhattan Credit card, I was told that they could not do it and convinced me again. Further again during De 2009 I was informed by the Bank that I have to pay the full amount Rs 109918.54 immediately or Rs66414.47 to avoid the credit rate. Immediately I called the bank and talked to M/s Satya on 22 12 09, that I could not pay the full amount and I asked the reason for the immediate payment in spite of making regular repayment. For which the replied that since the Manhattan was cancelled , Bank has cancelled all the card and asked to pay the full. Then they told that if I revalidate the Manhattan card , this facility will continue . I said that ok for the continuance for Manhattan card Vide their Ref 917714E01 dt 22 12 09 and to make the payment after adjusting all Rs 2849.16. So I made the payment, accordingly Vide my cheque 490458 -canara bank, Chennai 600086 for Rs 2849.16.When I contacted to day 2 01 10 for confirmation they told that they have refused and told that I have to pay the full amount of Rs 55202/ nad the balance will be converted as EMI. How I can Pay for no fault of mine?
    This was the punishment/harrassment facing my the people who are making permanent regularly. Further we are not allowed to speak the higher authorities to make our request.

    This is with reference to your e-mail dated January 02, 2010 regarding
    your credit card account.

    We are concerned to note the feeling of dissatisfaction expressed in
    your E-mail. We regret any inconvenience that may have been caused.

    We have gone through the contents of your e-mail and confirm the
    following:

    We wish to apprise you that the loans availed by you against your
    credit card account is billed separately in Instabuy account for easy
    accounting purposes. As per process, once the card account is
    cancelled, the loan account will be automatically pre closed.
    Subsequent to the preclosure the principal balance outstanding will be
    transferred to your card account.

    We note that based on your request the card account was cancelled in
    our record and due to loan account was also pre closed, balance
    outstanding transferred to card account.

    Further, we express our inability to activate your card account as per
    bank's internal policy and would request you to effect the outstanding
    balance of Rs.104422.61, to avoid levy of financial charges.

    It shall be our pleasure to render any further clarifications or
    assistance you may require.

    Default Sandardard chartered bank credit card complants

    How do you expect me to know abt the score system you maintain in your bank??

    Am I the bank staff or Am I working as customer care executive in your bank???

    Is this the proper response you tell a customer ???

    This is the second time your irresponsible executives are doing like this..

    Im unsure if the Bank or its staff know the meaning of "CUSTOMER CARE".... Everything is false with this bank and it executives...

    Its the Bank's executive responsbility to explain the customer the mandatory..

    Both the executive(Karthick) & his team leader Aruna promised that I ll get a card due the same credits which now you tell as " less than the predetermined minimum score"

    Im working as Software Engineer in Tata Consultancy Services for the past 3 years...

    Im not cheat producing false documents to you.. I did not ask you for a card..

    Your executives called .. They gave me committment...They gave me a promise....

    Are you training your executives to give false committments just to finish off their target in a month??

    Im not a fool to lose all my efforts in producing all docs and wasting my time for your executives...

    I need the card...

    If the one who is answering this mail cannot take any actions , please do not try convincing me saying lame excuses / reasons.

    Give me the contact no/ email who can take proper action for this....

    Else Let me file a case with RBI...

    Im quiet serious about this issue...

    Im ready to give any documents you ask for to provide a card.. I ve proper score with which SBI , HDFC , ICICI have offered me the card..

    Provide me card or I ll see the next...DO NOT SEND ME MAILS ....

    Only sending these mails, you are earning a bad name for the bank...
