my housing loan was declined on the basis of cibil report generated by AXIS bank on 29th dec 2010.
I followed cibil and got to know the credit card no.s on which there were overdue payment for last 4 years . the credit card no.s belonged to ICICI bank. i called them up and informed them about the credit card no.s i got from cibil report . they said the no.s belong to some milanpreet singh.
i was amazed to know how come anybody's no. will reflect in my cibil report.
the bank said that they will clear the issue in few days but it took them more than a month to do so.
now i asked for a fresh report from cibil which i received today , which is now clear of all the dues as i never had any payment due on my credit card.
now that that i've lost time ( 3 months in total) in all this mess , the interest on the loan amount outstanding is increasing day by day.
why should i suffer because of wrong information from icici bank.
The bank have accepted their fault but how will i get compensated .
how do i ask for compensation from the bank. how do i file a case against them?
I have both the cibil reports with me .
i approached AXIS bank again for the same. they said i have to submit all the papers again which will again take lot of time.
i'm really pissed of with icici bank .
please advice me if i can do anything against the bank for compensation of the interest money.
