    Dear Manager,

You mean to say without any reason/transaction if your bank has charged any thing
excess & over to customer, that has to be bear by them. I think its very nonsense
feed back from you. First of all why you peoples are demanding fake charges from
customer, if that not cleared from them side then you added one finance charge extra
+ TAX, it’s not logical way to ask for outstanding payments from customer. I think
you had not understood my previous request or you don’t try to listening customer
grievances/request…& you just try to proofing yourself smart banker with claiming
fraud charges on innocent customers. Please stop this type of nonsense & make
    yourself as a good banker.

Again it’s my second request to rectify all the things as a good banker or otherwise
I would bring it in public & consumer court if require. You can get it as request or
    warning as you think better.

    Thanks,

    Sanjay Barick

    Dear Mr. Barick,

We refer to your email dated April 11 , 2009.

We regret that we will not be able to reverse the charges levied on your account.

We request you to make the payment as per the statement to avoid further accrual of
    charges on your card.

    Dear Sir,

In my CC account statement some of non-understood charges were added on with some
couple of months back, in this regard so many times I have highlighted to your bank
thru customer care for that said excess charges, they guys had taken a complaint &
feedback me to rectify that charges as reversal entry with my next statement
positively but in next statement without any rectification some additional charges
were added on with my account statement as extra.

For your kind notice my Credit Card details & CC statement provided by bank attached
for your next proceed. (Credit Card account detail – Mr. SANJAY BARICK , AAB card
    no. 5415 3824 0338 3169)

So my kind requests pls. go thru the above cited matter & take necessary attempt
towards rectification and reversal of excess charged amount of Rs.2, 308.65 with
immediate effect. After a long relation with ABN AMRO it’s not a proper way to claim

    Default Dues settlement issues

    To whomsover it may concern,

I, Asish Samanta was a credit card holder (card number 0005415382305554727) till five years ago.

I got a call from the collections executive two years ago who said that to settle my dues my final payment will be of 24913.27. I was advised to drop a cheque at an ABN collections drop box, and I made the final payment On 19th August 2004, by issuing a cheque (cheque number 967599 - Citibank). I also called up the call center and asked for my card to be cancelled, which I was assured would be done.

I wasnt sent a single document or statement thereafter and neither did I receive any calls from the bank thereafter, until 2006. I was told I have around Rs.12000 overdue.

I have since been following up with the bank on emails and letters asking them to clarify the matter and send me proper documents reflecting where this amount was overdue.

The collections department has been continuously harassing me with demands to pay up while clearly refusing to provide any records or statements proving that any amount is overdue.

their argument is that because it is an old case they do not have the exact records. the only information they have is that 12,000 is overdue, in their records and that's why i have to pay up.

I fail to understand that --

    1. Why was I given an incomplete amount when i was settling dues and cancelling my card
    2. Why was no statement sent or calls made to my residence, till after 2 years after the interest and charges had accumulated?
    3. Why do you mention in your correspondence that the cheques should be dropped in the drop boxes?
    4. Why arent settlement of dues followed up immediately and acknowledgement of the same handed over immediately?

recently I received a legal notice from ABN Amro legal representative Jitendra Malviya (mobile - 9769377715) that I am supposed to pay a sum of Rs. 12151.97 along with interest @ 3.5 per cent per month from 12 june '05.

Would appreciate tyour legal expertise in throwing some light on this case

    Sincerely

    Dear Mr. Samanta,

To sort out such kind of Banking complaints, you will have to send a written complaint to the Head Office of the concerned Bank and wait for the response for near 15 to 20 days. If the Bank fails to provide you any help in that time frame then you can send your written complaint to the RBIs Banking Ombudsman division. The Bank's Head Office address is:
C/O Chairman & Managing Director, ABN-Amro Bank NV,
31,32, Sakhar Bhavan,Opp to Oberoi Shopping Centre,
    3rd Floor,Nariman Point, Mumbai,
    MAHARASHTRA – 400021.

Hi, I have been writing in regarding the removal of my post (in the 'Contact Us' section) as the issue has been sorted out. I still haven't received a reply , neither has the post been removed. There is no option available to me on the page to remove the post. Also my post i readily available on google search, when my name is typed in. I wasn't made aware that this would be an open forum. Kindly arrange for the said post (ABN Amro, September 2009) to be removed ASAP.
    Regards,
    Asish
