aur bank se settelment letter ,receipt bhi leli thi ,but abhi hdfc bank ne mere hdfc bank ke saving
account se 23773.00 Rs. hold kar diye hai ,aur wo mujhe mera fund refund nahi kar rahe hai.

HDFC credit card settlement betrayal This is Ruksana Dalla, resident of Jogeshwari(w), Mumbai, holding card account number 5176521007280672 had recieved a phone call from credit recovery department to make settlement. I asked for the settlement of 15000 with SEVEN EMI's.
They agreed on this but the next day, their executive dropped in with a settlement letter dated 25th oct 2009 and having a settlement figure Rs. 22,300. I did not accept the letter as it was against the terms which i had accepted upon. But the executive named, HIREN VAIDYA re-aproached three days later ie on 28th OCT 2009 saying that the last installment will be waved off and gave me a verbal assurance.
I agreed on his words and started paying the installments. After paying the SIX installment on 29th APRIL 2010 i realised that i have paid more amount than i had agreed for. I already paid 17,100 for my accepted 15,000. Still i thought that i should let it go and asked for the closure letter of the card. On contacting Mr. Hiren, he asked me to pay an additional amount of Rs. 5200 to make the final settlement. On my disagreement he again assured me that he will drop in at my place with a final settlement letter but he didn't. As i stopped recieving calls from the bank, i thought that the settlement is done and will be getting the closure letter soon. I hold a salary account in HDFC bank having account number 0047xxxxxxxx380. My salary which is usually credited in the mentioned HDFC account got blocked and transfered to LEDGER balance on 30th June 2010. I approached the bank and they denied to help me and asked me to go to the recovery department at Kanjur marg(E), Mumbai. When i went there i was very rudely told that my settlement is null and void and my salary amount which is 19,473 and my Settlement amount 17,100 is transferred to card payment. And my credit card overdues are 81,000 out of which i have paid 36000 and have to pay 55000 thousand more for the card with credit limit 30,000. I disagreed to it and warned them that they cannot touch my salary. On the same day i.e. on 12th July, i sent a legal notice through the advocate that i have not authorized the card department to take the payments of the card. Inspite of this they deducted my funds from the account which is breach of trust and cheating. I want all my funds to be credited back in my account along with 2,000 extra which i have paid.

Dear HDFC Bank Customer Assistance,
Would like to know why there are so many harrasment cases aginst your bank. I can understand there being mistake in the system which can be rectified. out of every 100 cases against banks, 75-80 are HDFC Bank cases. What is Mr. Aditya Puri upto. Why does he recruit low level individuals who do not understand banking and customer service. Why is the bank playing with the customers. I do understand that the there is a fault of the customer also. But why cant the same be rectified. It is purely a fault on your part for having people in your bank who cant even speak. The other day a representative from you bank had approached me to open a salary saving account with HDFC Bank. He was asking me to do some extra signatures on the application where it was not required and said that incase of overwriting. I had filled up the entire form myself as I am a ex banker and know the KYC rules. I was surised to hear from your representative that he said he might have to fill up something and that he was unaware that he cannot fill up the form on customers behalf. In the forst place please eduate your staff about the RBI norms to avoid such complaints. Your representative was forcing me to sign the card application form by saying its just a formality and i will not receive the same. i have torn the form in front of him and am worried that he shouldnt be signing a form on my behalf fruadently. Yes sales is important in any bank but not at the cost of loosing repuation and harrassing the customer. Please look into it to avoid customer harrassment

Platinum Credit card not working for the past one year Dear sir,
After coming from abroad in April 2010, I requested for renewal of my credit card xxxx xxxx xxxx 4313, since it expired while abroad. After that I have been issued the card twice, but surprisingly the same is not working and shows "declined" everytime.
I am surprised that the department has taken more than a year and yet the problem stands as it is. The problem and the embarrasment caused to me can be better understood.
Will it be possible for all of you to solve this problem or wait for the customer to find other ways, which may not be in the interest of HDFC supporting staff both at Chandigarh and Chennai.
